The Passing of Oscar: And some interesting numbers

Many of you followed my journey the past week as I handled the sudden decline and passing of my dear 14-year-old Oscar. When he passed away this past Saturday afternoon, a little hole the size of a cat paw print was drilled into my heart. I’m now in the grieving process and have been working with crystals to help me (and my kitties Lucy and Jacob) process the grief and learn how to live life without Oscar (who was larger than life).

I have previously written about the grieving process when I lost my Sammy 10 months ago and all of the wonderful things that pets teach us. I adopted Oscar when he was only 4 months old and he’s been through so many life changes with me. He’s been my rock, my joy and was the glue that kept us all together. I’ve never met another cat like Oscar … he was a perpetual kitten, even at the age of 14.

What I wanted to share today are some interesting numbers that I have become aware of with the passing of Oscar. I know enough about numerology to know that this means something; I just don’t know what it means. So if you’re a numerology expert, please post a comment to share your thoughts.

This is what I know:

(1) Sammy passed away on February 24, 2012 (adding up the numbers you get 2+2+4+2+0+1+2 = 13 and 1+3 = 4). Oscar passed away on November 24, 2012 (1+1+2+4+2+0+1+2 = 13 = 4). Both of my dear boys passed away on a 4 day.

(2) Sammy passed away around 1:10 p.m. and Oscar passed at 1:35 p.m. (both in the 13th hour of the day; add 13 (1+3) and you get 4.

(4) Sammy passed away one week (7 days) before his 12th adoption anniversary. Oscar passed away one week (7 days) before his 14th adoption anniversary.

Oscar & Lucy

An animal communicator told me over a year ago (as both Sammy and Oscar were starting to decline from health issues) that they had made a pact to pass within a short time period of each other because they were so bonded. What I do believe is that Oscar and Sammy in spirit were connected because the timing of Oscar’s passing is confusing. Oscar had been thriving and doing well (even with his health issues) up until a week before his passing. He then suddenly had a glucose crash and was not able to fully recover. It came out of nowhere and even the veterinarians could not explain it (since his health issues have caused high glucose levels for 18 months, not crashing to low levels). So I do believe that my two boys were working together to help Oscar pass on a specific day and time.

Oscar and Jacob (who joined us after Sammy passed)

What it all means …. I haven’t a clue. If you have insights, please share! In the meantime, we will continue to miss Oscar’s presence, him running around the house with a toy in his mouth while meowing, sitting in on healing classes, and being a perpetual kitten even up to a week before his passing. He was my joy. So enjoy this video of Oscar and Sammy showing how adorable they were.

All my best,

Allie and Oscar (a day before his passing)

Connectedness and Support: The Power of Small Groups

Since last week, each Tuesday morning I have an online video chat with two Goddess Sisters: Sarah and Lee. Sarah is a naturopathic doctor in Maine and Lee is a Somatic Movement educator in Philadelphia. We found each other through another online tribe for business women who are looking to take their businesses to a new level. It’s interesting how people find each other when and for what they exactly need, eh?

Each week, we talk about our plans to grow our personal businesses, we encourage each other, and we come up with some wild-donkey-riding ideas! We are checks-and-balances and outrageous support for each other. We keep each other on target with what we each want and to hold each other accountable to avoid that pesky nuisance … procrastination!¬†After each video chat, I’m so pumped up with my Manifested Harmony ideas that I can’t scribble the ideas down fast enough!

I’m writing about this today because our little group really impressed upon me the power of being connected to like-minded people who will support you in your dreams and visions. No matter who you are or where you live, we are all surrounded by nay-sayers who are so afraid of their own shadow that I’m amazed that they can make it out of bed each day. We are also surrounded by negative media messages. Every minute of the day is oozing the negative crud from these people and images that it is no wonder to me that our society is so broken and suffering. So creating an uplifting and positive tribe of support is essential if you want to create something that is true to your heart.

An empowering idea that came to me through our group chat is that I’m going to create a video to share with everyone who is engulfed by fear and worry, people who are unemployed, suffering, and have lost hope in a bright future. And no I’m not running for politic office … but I am going to share how we are all responsible for our lives and, therefore, we can turn things around! As Sarah and Lee pointed out to me today … just do it … it doesn’t have to be perfect … just be me, create the video and share the message. So with the support and advice of my little tribe, that is what I will be working on over the next week. It may not be a perfect video production, my hair may be the messy curly thing that I have going on lately, and one of my cats may jump in the video. But I feel so strongly that you and everyone else need to see it. So stay tuned as I post this video so that you can invite a whole lot more sunshine, tulips, daisies and kittens to your world!

Happy Election Day (and let’s make it a positive day)!
