Let’s get inspired!

Inspired actionWhen you are working with the Law of Attraction, one key component that many people miss is the underling desire for what is wanted. I’m not talking about a mental, thought out, intellectual “I want this!” I’m talking about a desire that consumes you to your core, possesses your mind, and directs your actions even though the outside world may question those actions. In other words … inspiration!

If you do not have inspiration for what you want to manifest, the Law of Attraction cannot bring it to you. It is often a missed step that I talk about in my classes. Let me give you an example.

It seems like everyone wants to win the lottery so that they can leave their uninspiring jobs, maybe their miserable relationships, buy their dream home and move to a location that gives them joy. Sounds great, right? But deep down they have a block to winning the lottery. It could be that little voice in their head that says now you have to hire a financial planner, banker, attorney and all of these money professionals. What if they are not honest and steal my lottery money? What if family members beg for money? What if needy people come to me for a hand out? Oh, the burden of having millions of dollars! 

Those thoughts are concerns that invariably shift out energy out of inspiration to want millions of dollars. They are negative thoughts that push away any chance of winning the lottery. But what is missing in this story is the deep, burning, juicy desire to have more money than you will ever truly need. For most people, we want to be financially comfortable, not financially burdened under a load of money. Without that inspiration, you are in a canoe without a paddle headed upstream my friend.

So how do you get desire and inspiration to manifest what you truly want? Look to how you spend your time when no one is looking. When you’re not required to be at a job that pays your bills, how do you spend your days? If you did not have to worry about money, what would you do from 8am to 6pm everyday? Those activities are your desire, your inspiration, and where you will manifest.

Earthing and groundFor example, I love to rock hound, play with crystals, write, and help people and animals (just to name a few). Whether I am paid or not, I would do those activities and every day I actually do those activities. I do them without regard for what’s in it for me? and I can do them endlessly and lose track of time. I do them because of my inspired desire. So when I set an intention to manifest something that relates to one of those activities, it comes to fruition. And if I make money in the process … bonus!

On the other hand, when I set an intention for something that does not bring me inspiration and that does not have the energy of desire driving it, then no matter what intention I set and how much I consciously work the Law of Attraction, it will not manifest. For example, I get a lot of great suggestions for classes that I should create. For some, I do not resonate with the topic right now (I could and likely will down the road). So if I were to set an intention to create a class that I do not have a deep desire to create, I will not have the requisite inspiration to make it come to life. And it will remain on my to-do list and not manifest.

We all instinctively know that inspiration is the key to manifesting because when we take inspired action we do it with joy; but when we take action out of obligation, it does not go as smoothly and our energy is focused on obligation, not joy.

Tip of the week: (1) Make a list of everything that inspires you. (2) Make another list of everything you “want”. (3) Compare the lists to see if any of the items match. For those that match, set an intention and take inspired action as it comes to you to make it manifest. For any “want” items that do not match to inspiration, consider letting those go so that you can make more room for “wants” that match your desires.

Have a Happy Healthy Holiday Pet

Jacob xmasDid you know that the holiday season can be one of the most stressful time in your companion animal’s life? While we are busy preparing for, stressing over, and celebrating the season, our pet may take on unnecessary stress or become physically ill. But there are some simple things that you can do to have a Happy Healthy Holiday Pet!

Whenever someone talks to me about a physical or behavioral issue their pet is having, I share with them how our companion animals take on our stress (and even medical issues). They are energetically sensitive. I saw this first hand years ago when I would come home from work, fully stressed out, and my cat Sammy would promptly vomit on the floor. BLAH! He was taking in and expelling my stress. Once I realized this and shook off my stress before coming home, he stopped the welcome-home-vomitting! What I do is an energy sweeping technique where you brush your hands a few inches above your body and sweep the energy off. It really does work! And be cautious to keep your stress underhand so that your pet does not take it on.

Lucy xmasIt’s important to keep a consistent schedule with your pet (playtime, cuddle time, going for a walk, etc.). Our schedules can become over burdened during the holidays and that is when our beloved pet may receive less attention from us. As I write this, my cat Lucy is watching me also create a shopping list for two holiday parties I am hosting at my house. I know that she’s shaking her head and wondering how I will get it all done! When we change our schedule with our pets, they do not understand why and may begin to have behavioral issues. So it is important to be consistent with them. Spending time with your pet will also help to reduce your stress. At least that’s what Lucy tells me.

Rudy xmasIf you have a new kitten or puppy, I would highly recommend slowly rolling out your holiday decorations. My cat Rudy (who is one year old) is celebrating his first Christmas in the Phillips home. Rudy has a kitten tendency to eat everything in site (including plastic bags, paper towels, etc.). To make sure that my artificial Christmas tree would be safe, I rolled it out in phases. First I put up the tree with nothing on it. Rudy chewed on it a few times and I stopped him. The next day I added lights and watched Rudy to make sure that he would not chew the wires. Then I added soft ornaments (lest he decide to smack one flying across the room). As you can see in the photo, he has perched himself in the tree (more than once). It can be overwhelming for our small furry friends to suddenly pull out all of our holiday decorations at once. To them, it may be like an amusement park of new play things. Enjoy, but be cautious.

Be careful about bringing in decorations that are poisonous to pets. Check this webpage from the ASPCA on plants and foods that are dangerous. The last thing that you want is for your pet to become sick and for your busy schedule to fit in an emergency room visit. Make sure that your home is holiday safe for your pets.

Loss: When you want to help

All of us have been in the position at one time where we saw a family or friend suffering through a loss. Maybe it’s the loss of a person, a pet, a job, a relationship, or their health. We instinctively want to help them, but we often do not know what to do. We feel helpless as we watch our loved one suffer.

I have learned a lot about loss from both sides: suffering the loss and wanting to help someone through loss. What I have learned is that everyone processes loss differently. Yet instinctively we want to help others in ways that we would want to be helped. And that’s not necessarily the best way. So I created a video about some different ways that we can help without being intrusive.

Oscar&Sammy Thanksgiving 112306-sideIn 2012, I lost two of my beloved kitties: Sammy (on February 24, 2012) and Oscar (on November 24, 2012). And as the one-year anniversary of Oscar’s passing comes closer, I feel the sadness returning. I had time to prepare for the loss of Sammy and Oscar; yet when it happened it was like the world went on slow motion for me. My life as I had known it for the previous 12 years was gone. For me, I have always coped with loss by going within, being alone, healing in private. That often causes concerned loved ones to reach out to me even more; yet that causes me more pain. On the other hand, I know others who need to be with people when they are dealing with the aftermath of a loss. Having constant companionship and keeping busy is how they cope and heal. Two very different methods, and even more methods in between.

We are all different in how we handle loss and go through the grieving process. Here are 10 ways that you can help some through the process:

1. Ask how you can support them then honor their response. If they want space, give them space. If they want company but no talking, respect that.

2. Let them decide when (or if) they want to talk about what happened. They may want to avoid the topic and discuss lighter issues. Do not force them to talk about the loss. When (if) they are ready to talk, they will.

3. Limit how often you ask “are you okay” or say “I know what you’re going through.” When we are asked if we are okay, we naturally respond that we are fine out of politeness when the honest answer might be “my heart is broken and I don’t know how to go on with life.” And when we compassionately say that we understand what they are going through, we truly mean that. However, knowing that we all process loss differently, we really do not know what they are going through.

Grieving grid4. Send energy healing (distantly) to your loved one. Even though they may not consciously know the energy is enveloping them, energetically they will feel it and it will help them to heal. If you work with crystals, you could set up a crystal grid to send healing energy. I like to set up grids with Rose Quartz (to send love) and Apache Tear Obsidian (to help with grief). You could even set up a grid for the person or pet who has passed on.

5. Send prayers and good intentions their way. The energy of your positive prayers and intentions will reach them and give them comfort.

6. Donate to a charity in the memory of the person or pet who has passed. This is a way of doing something good during a time of grief.

7. Offer your help in nonintrusive ways. Such as cook dinner and leave it for your loved one, rake leaves, shovel snow, mow the lawn, pick up the mail and bring it to the front door. If your loved one is grieving privately, do this in subtle ways so that you do not intrude on their privacy.

8. Send a book that relates to coping with loss. These are some of my favorite books: Animals and the Afterlife, Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates, Dying to be me (a book about the afterlife), Grieving MindfullyThe Art of Extreme Self-Care, and The Tapping Solution (Emotional Freedom Technique to help process grief).

9. Send a card or a photo of the person or pet who has passed along with a memory that you have of them. It may become a cherished keep-sake.

10. And when you don’t know what to say, just send a card or tell them, “I’m here for whatever you need.”

It is natural to want to help when we see a loved one grieving a loss. When you ask them what you can do to best support them and honor their request, everyone will feel better. Just ask!

30 Days of Gratitude

It’s about consistency!

I am often asked how often a person or a pet should receive energy healing. The answer I give is dependent upon whether there is an immediate or chronic issue at hand, or whether the goal is to maintain balance and wellbeing. But my answer is usually the same …. Consistency.

Energy healing works with the body’s energy field (which is also called the subtle energy field). Some people do not feel much, other than relaxation, after their first session. I notice changes and energy shifts when someone is consistent with their energy sessions. And this consistency can either be in having someone else provide the energy healing, or taking a class to learn how to provide your own healing.

Energy healing is like exercising. The first time, you may feel great. But if you don’t do it again, or if you put too much time in between sessions, you will not notice much change. Like exercising, even short sessions with frequency will provide the best results.

Lucy crystal classFor someone who is otherwise healthy and wants to maintain balance and wellbeing, I recommend once a month session with a healer (and/or weekly self-healing). If someone is dealing with an imminent or chronic issue (either physical or emotional), I recommend weekly sessions for the 4-6 weeks (until an obvious shift is noticed) and then moving to twice monthly then monthly sessions (and/or daily self-healing).

For pets, I recommend short (15-20 minute) sessions with frequency according to the same schedule as above.

I have tested this schedule with numerous human and pet clients. Those who are consistent are achieving the results that they want (thus getting their money’s worth).

Crystal braceletsSo what can you do?

  1. Locate an energy healer and schedule consistent sessions. Review your budget of how you spend your money (food, housing, etc.) and recognize the importance of budgeting for your health and wellbeing. If you’re in the Northern Virginia/DC area, I offer healing sessions and can help you set up a consistent schedule of wellbeing.
  2. Take an energy healing class so that you can learn how to provide self-healing. Offering self-healing not only hones your skills, but will give you the consistency you need for those positive energy shifts. I offer these classes that benefit people and pets: Usui Reiki, Crystal Healing, and Integrated Energy Therapy.
  3. Wear crystals everyday! I always wear crystals with each providing different energies. Sometimes I need grounding, other times I want to sooth inflammation. You can find crystal bracelets and other jewelry at metaphysical stores or at Healingcrystals.com.
  4. Schedule quiet time (meditation) into your day. When you can quiet your mind, you will relax which will allow your body to start balancing.

Occasional or inconsistent sessions are certainly better than nothing. But you may not see the results that you want; results that you desire that brought you to energy healing in the first place. And while one session will get the process started, consistency will allow the energy to build upon itself and you will then have noticeable energy shifts. For me, daily energy healing is what helps me to deal with stress, our changing planetary energies, and to maintain balance and wellbeing.

How resilient are you?

Sturdy root and earth chakrasThis Friday will be the 10th anniversary that I left Michigan and moved to Virginia for employment. It’s a bittersweet day that fills me with conflicting emotions. Let me share a little of why October 18, 2003 was a bittersweet day.

The long story is contained in my first book (How Shelter Pets are Brokered for Experimentation: Understanding Pound Seizure) if you want the juicy details. The short story is this:

I was a very successful and highly respected prosecuting attorney in my home state of Michigan with a promising future. It was my dream job, although it was filled with incredible stress, a few death threats, and constantly viewing the worst of humanity. In early 2003, I exposed some misconduct at the local animal shelter about how they were selling animals to research. Rather than investigate what I had uncovered, my boss turned on me, tried to get criminal charges on me, and publicly accused me in the media of the worst thing that I can be accused of … being unethical and dishonest. He openly threatened me, I was terrified to be in my own home, and I became a recluse for months out of fear. When my boss ordered me to “take back” what I had uncovered in order to keep my job, I held true to my principles and what I knew and walked away. He then proceeded to block me from any prosecution job in the state. Eight months later, I was relieved when I was offered a position as a national trainer with a nonprofit organization that trains prosecutors. I would be able to stay in my chosen legal field, avoid the face-to-face dealings with criminals and death threats, and teach others (which I love to do). But I had to move to Virginia and leave my life behind.

It was traumatic leaving my beautiful house, my family, my friends, my chosen profession, and everything that was home behind. Life was a blur and I’m still not sure how I went through it. In the grand scale of traumatic events, it may not seem traumatic, but at the time it was my living nightmare.

For 3 years, I could barely embrace my new life. I simply was not resilient. My energy was stuck in my old life and was refusing to move forward. I just worked, went home, and wanted to hide. At the time, I had never heard of the Law of Attraction or energy healing. Gosh, I could have used both of those then because I know that I would have bounced back a lot faster.

So why am I sharing this? I certainly do not want to revive the energy of what I experienced 10 years ago. But I think it is worth having a discussion about resiliency.

We all know people who have endured horrific traumas and appear to bounce back quickly and embrace life. We also know people who crumble into despair with objectively minimal bumps in life. Some people have the fight instinct, others the flight instinct. I had the frozen instinct. On the outside, I was composed, professional, did not stoop to the level of my boss, ended up mobilizing a community to stop the selling of animals to research at the animal shelter (which then became a state-wide movement that still continues today), and appeared to be handling the situation with grace. On the inside, I was broken and stuck. I was unable to move with the ebb and flows of the change because the change was so unexpected and excessive. But I instinctively knew that I needed to “fake it ‘til you make it” and keeping a positive attitude outwardly would help me feel better. Gee, that’s what we’re taught to do to manifest what we want with the Law of Attraction.

Resiliency is the key to how we handle trauma and even the day-to-day changes we’re experiencing now. Having a balanced and grounded Earth and Root Chakra helps. So if you haven’t been resilient in the past, how can you become more resilient? Here are a few suggestions that worked for me:

  • Never stop looking for the good that can come out of a bad situation;
  • Let yourself go through the grieving process, do not bottle up your feelings;
  • Confide in people you can trust who will also make sure you do not dwell on the trauma;
  • Remember that the Universe/Source/God has a plan for you and even when bad things happen, there is something for us to learn;
  • Call upon your Angels for guidance and help (they are always there, you just need to ask);
  • Read Law of Attraction books (or take one of my upcoming online classes) to learn how to pull yourself out of the trauma; and
  • Gift yourself energy healing sessions (as many as it takes) to pull the trauma energy out of your energy field.

When I look back, I wish things would have been different, but know that I was being shifted onto a bigger path to make more of a difference. I don’t miss the death threats, the stress of constant trials, or the toll the stress was taking on me.

Had I stayed where I was, it would have been comfortable. But I doubt that I would have created Manifested Harmony, would know about energy healing or the Law of Attraction, would have written 2 books, or would have become nationally recognized for my work to help crime victims (human and animal) on a national level.  I miss my family and friends, but have made new friends and have created a lovely home for myself.

So this 10th anniversary is bittersweet for me but as time goes on it becomes sweeter and I learn more about resiliency. I can honestly say that once I discovered the path of energy healing and Law of Attraction work, that is when my energy shifted and my old energy moved on. Stop Sleepwalking and Wake Up

I Can do itWe are at the beginning of a shift into new energy. It’s been in the works for quite some time. And now we’re there. Did you know that? Or have you been sleepwalking through your life?

All year, I have been talking and writing about the new energy and energy shift, how it’s causing some people to react oddly (or badly) and discussing various ways to handle it. I’ve been testing various methods and techniques while also searching for answers. This past weekend, I was overjoyed to attend the Hay House I Can Do It Conference for a 2nd year. Gregg Braden gave me answers like he always does.

He started the presentation with a brilliant quote from E.O. Wilson: “We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom.” Wow, that is so true, right?

The world that we grew up with is gone. Sorry to be blunt, but we might as well get ourselves adjusted and get back to living. Too many people are holding off on doing things because they are waiting for things to “settle down.” Today’s world and energy is now your new normal. So how are you feeling with this new energy? I’ve definitely felt more sensitive to other people’s behavior and have not had good sleep. Crystals, energy healing, and intentions have definitely helped me. Other people are angry, confused, anxious, depressed, jittery, and coming unglued. So this uneasiness is our new normal? Sheesh, that’s pretty sad. But we don’t have to feel this way once we know what to do.

Gregg Braden gave us a very simple answer on how to live in the new energy.

Resilience.

Not the sort of resilience that we see in someone have after they bounce back from a difficult situation. Resilience now relates to how we think and live everyday so that we thrive during changing conditions. Resilience is the key to wellbeing during the new energy. Resilience is what we must have every day.

You cannot be resilient and thrive if you’re sleepwalking through all of this, numbing yourself to change with your IPod blaring in your ears, your eyes on your smartphone and not on your surroundings, communicating only through technology, and living a disconnected life. You are here on this planet at this time of change. We all need to connect to this new energy.

In this new energy, we are living with extremes (financial, climate, behavioral) that show us what is not working, and change is happening fast because we can no longer deny that our entire globe is connected (thank you technology). What happens in Syria directly impacts everyone.

We have all of the solutions to current day problems right now. The issue is that we have not adapted our thinking to access those solutions. Too many people are working with old energy in the new energy. It doesn’t fit and it doesn’t work. But first, we need to mourn the loss of the old world, let it go, and then you can adapt. Adapting is resiliency. And what I personally love about the new energy is that science is FINALLY catching up to spirituality. What indigenous cultures knew 4000 years ago, we are finally acknowledging. So for the first time in a long time, I’m excited about the new energy because what I know about science and spirituality is meshing together.

Gregg explained that we are now in the New Age of Meeting Ourselves Again. Isn’t that beautiful? The new energy is all about connectedness, oneness, mutual aid and cooperation. The energy no longer supports competition and aggression. So how do we get ourselves to this New Age sooner rather than later (so that we can sleep and feel better)? The answer is again simple ….

Love and compassion.

Gregg told us about 2 women, each at least 120 years old. One lives in Tibet and the other in Palestine. Both areas have seen a lot of devastation. So how do these women stay healthy and vibrant at 120 years of age with all of the strife? Both went through life living from their heart and not their head. They lived and experienced the world with love and compassion.

I’ve asked this before and feel like I’m banging the same drum, but I have to ask. Which would you rather experience? Fear or love? Almost everyone, and sometimes myself included, spend too much time fearing. If I quit my job, will work that I’m passionate about pay my bills? If I leave this relationship, will I grow old alone? This fear, along with other negative emotions like hatred, anger, resentment all lead to physical issues. Our bodies can heal themselves if we let it. But we hang on to unresolved hurts that are now proven to be the root cause of many ailments, including the #1 killer of Americans … heart disease. Where do we store unresolved hurt? In our heart. Make sense?

When we can start to move from our mind to our heart and live our lives that way, we will tip the scales towards compassion. I truly believe that if everyone will stop sleepwalking through walk and awaken to what our world wants us to do, we will dramatically cut diseases that strike us down in the prime of life, we will see an end to aggression, wars, and people who shoot up malls and schools. I don’t know anyone who wants to continue our current reality. So you have a choice to make. Live from your head (and continue as is) or live from your heart (and help us shift the planet to compassion).

Power of the Purr

PurrrrThis blog is dedicated to my cat peeps! Did you know that a cat’s purr is healing? Yes, you heard me …. a cat’s purr is healing!

If you have ever enjoyed the company of a feline, you have invariably been lured into a smile simply by the sound of their purr. That little rumbling motor that seems to consume a cat’s entire body and often makes them vibrate with happiness. This purr has healing ability!!! (Don’t stop reading because I’m going to get a little sciencey on you!)

Most people can agree that sound is very healing, right? Many of us listen to music to help us relax; we dance and exercise to music; music helps you to “get in the mood” (whatever mood you want to get into … giggle); we are mesmerized by the sound of waves rippling to shore, wind howling through the trees, and fire crackling. Even the little water fountain on my desk helps me to stay balanced throughout the day.

Purr quoteIn the book Vibrational Healing through the Chakras, Joy Gardner tells us that our bodies and emotions have a vibrational energy and are a source of electrical energy. All forms of matter (atomic and subatomic particles) vibrate; German physicist Max Planck proved this. This is what science has told us about vibration and frequency:

  • The heart has the frequency of 225 Hz
  • Brain waves vibrate at a frequency up to 200 Hz
    • Beta is waking consciousness and has a frequency of 15-40 Hz
    • Alpha is a relaxed state and has a frequency of 9-14 Hz
    • Theta is deep meditation, hypnosis, visualization and deep healing and has a frequency of 5-8 Hz
    • Delta is REM sleep with a frequency of .5 – 4 Hz
    • Epsilon is right-left hemisphere syncing and accessing great inspiration and has a frequency below .5 Hz
    • Gamma involves all senses converging for higher awareness at a frequency of 40-100 Hz (this involves shamanic/mystical experiences)
    • Lambda is the state of ecstasy and is up to 200 Hz
  • The Earth vibrates at 7.83 Hz. This is because lightening can circle the circumference of the Earth 7.83 times in one second, thus this is the charge for the Earth. There are 1000 lightening storms every second to keep this rate consistent. When our body can vibrate at that rate, we experience healing. Healers and mystics typically have a frequency of 7.8 Hz.

We know that light, sound, smell, plants, foods, essential oils can all be measured in frequencies. Our skin, sense of smell and taste are sensitive to frequencies of vibration. And when we have physical and emotional ailments, our body vibrates at a lower rate. Good stuff, eh?

Animal sounds have a frequency. Whale and elephant sounds resonate at a frequency of 15-35 Hz (which can stimulate alpha brain activity). Dolphins have a frequency of 3-500 Hz (the clicking sound) and 2000-80000 HZ (for their whistles). And (drum roll please) …. a cat’s purr has a frequency of 25-150 Hz.

A cat’s purr is within the ideal range for improving bone density and to promote overall healing and wellness. This range is also within the Gamma and Lambda frequencies. Maybe this is why cat’s often have a look of ecstasy on their face!

Cat’s purr not only when they are happy and well, but when they are ill and in pain. They purr when ill because the frequency of the purr helps them to feel better. So now imagine you are feeling under the weather, depressed, lonely, anxious, or struggling with a serious illness. One of the best healing methods (other than laughter) is to be near a cat!! This is why when you are not well, your cat will gravitate to you and be near you. They are natural healers and they know that their mere presence (or should I say, purrsence) will help you! I have experienced this on countless occasions where my cats lay on my bed, encircling me, when I do not feel well. That is the ultimate house call!

Let me heal youSo the next time you do not feel well (physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually), grab your cat and give them a big smooch and a hug (with their purrmission, of course). If you do not have a cat, find a friend or family member with a cat and hang out with them. Or even go to your local animal shelter to simply spend time with some homeless cats. You will feel better, and so will they!

Energy sensing: It’s how we connect

Reiki on AmethystWhen I give an energy therapy session, I perform an energy sensing technique with my hands that can give me some good insights to help me focus on areas that need extra attention. I receive messages through the channels in my hands. But have you ever done this on an inanimate object?

Have you ever been drawn to a place yet did not know why? Have you ever gone to a location, a building, a city, a lake and “felt” the energy? You felt connected, at ease, like you were home? When that happened, did you take the time to figure out why?

Earlier this month I was on a glorious vacation in Scotland. Initially I was hesitant to book the vacation, but then something bigger took over and I knew I needed to go. As soon as I landed on Scottish ground, I knew I was with “my” energy … I knew that I was “home.” With every location, castle, and loch that I visited, it felt natural; connecting with people was effortless. This is when you know that you are in an energetically compatible location; a place where you will thrive.

I also spent time energy sensing on several castles. You do not have to be attuned to energy healing to sense energy from locations, but if you are attuned you will be more receptive. It’s a wonderful method to pick up messages, history, feelings from the past; it’s a way to receive natural guidance. All you have to do is place your hands on the object or even just sit quietly in the location and open yourself to listening with all of your senses.

One castle that I energy sensed on was the Eilean Donan castle (one of the most photographed castles in the world that was also featured in the movie Made of Honor with Patrick Dempsey). As I laid my hands on the exterior walls, and even pressed my ear against the wall, I could feel what the castle wanted to tell me. Many of the messages were personal, but I felt that the castle had suffered through bad times but was energetically breathing a sigh of relief at the calm of the present; an overall sense of joy and frivolity.

I also energy sensed on the ruins of the Dundonald Castle. I felt the lingering of pain, loss, destruction, and sadness. I could feel the castle weeping. So I spent some time infusing Reiki into the castle walls in an effort to heal whatever had happened. Both castles had suffered numerous battles and losses, so why was one happy and the other sad? I believe that the infusion of energy from curious tourists is contributing to the energy of the castles. Eilean Donan is one of the most popular castles in Scotland and has hundreds of thousands of visitors a year; whereas Dundonald is not as popular so has fewer tourists sharing their energy.

Sounds crazy, right? To those who are intuitive and understand energy, this makes sense that we leave our energy everywhere we go. To the rest, it may sound bonkers. So here’s my wish … the next time you are drawn to a vacation location or a particular building, spend a little time to ask yourself why and then just relax and sit in the energy of that location and building to feel the message. Leave a little of your energy behind so that you are always connected with the location. When you can open yourself to the messages of locations, it will give you more information about who you are!

Meet, Greet & Heal!

Over the past several years, I’ve really enjoyed connecting with all of you through social media and the internet. It’s amazing to discuss topics of healing and wellness with people just around the corner or on the other side of the world! Love love love that!!!

But I also love love love to connect in person with people (and their companion animals). There’s a lot going on with Manifested Harmony over the next several months. So check out these opportunities for us to connect if you live in the greater Washington D.C. area!

Events

  • August 17 = Join me and other Energy Emissaries for a visit to a Buddhist Temple in Poolesville, MD where we will relax amongst a room full of crystals and visit the outdoor healing gardens (weather permitting). Email me if you want to car pool or meet us there at 10:00am.
  • August 31 = I will be at Pro Feed pet store in Alexandria (Belle View plaza) from 11am – 1pm. I’m there to answer questions about energy therapy for pets and give some advice if your pet is struggling with a physical or behavioral issue. Bring your pet by and I’ll give a complimentary mini-healing session!
  • September 28 & 29 – I will gather with other Energy Emissaries at the Hay House I Can Do It Conference at National Harbor. Please email me to let me know if you will be there and we’ll schedule a meet up for everyone.
  • Sunday, October 6th – I will have a booth at Pathway’s Natural Living Expo. I’ll be offering mini-healing and coaching sessions, will have the BioMat for you to enjoy, will have elixirs and other goodies for you to sample, and will have a lot of information available to help you live your best life! This is a great event with so many fantastic vendors. 
  • October 26 = I will be at Pro Feed pet store in Alexandria (Belle View plaza) from 11am – 1pm. I’m there to answer questions about energy therapy for pets and give some advice if your pet is struggling with a physical or behavioral issue. Bring your pet by and I’ll give a complimentary mini-healing session!

Classes

There’s so many ways for us to connect over the coming months and I would love to see you at one of the meet -n- greets or to join in on one of the classes. And if you’re a healing client or student, you will be invited to join in on my monthly Harmony Circle events where we gather together and have great discussions, group meditations or energy shares!

Getting on your true path

We all know people who have a great life; they love their job, have a loving family, and live life with joy. And we all know people who seem to struggle with every step; they are miserable in their work, in their relationships, and make decisions that are not in their best interest. For some, you are a little of each. But which side do you spend more time in?

In the years that I have been working with healing energy and the Law of Attraction Universal energy, I know that consciously living with the “energy” has put me on a path that feels genuine and true. It may have been a bumpy path, but I know that I needed to go through some challenges to get here. At times, I was divinely guided to take steps that now make sense. I also see the same thing with others who have received energy healing sessions, took energy healing classes, and/or learned about the Law of Attraction. I see their life now being divinely guided down their true path and it’s beautiful to watch.

When you open yourself to healing and universal energies, those energies begin to subtly shift your world towards your true soul path. If you are far off of your true path, the shift could feel like negative situations (such as losing a job, losing a relationship/marriage, losing money, losing your health, having a spiritual crisis, or just feeling uncomfortable in your life). At the time, you may feel like you’ve done something bad that brought on the loss of things in your life. It’s actually the  contrary; they may be things that served you well in the past but are no longer in your truest best interest.

If you are only slightly off of your true path, the subtle shifts may go unnoticed until one day you look back to a year, two years, five years ago and see that you are physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually in a different place. You look back with a smile and wonder how did I get here? The answer: the energy moved you.

Most people are terrified of change. I used to be one of those people. Now, I embrace change and enjoy looking back over the years to see the amazing gifts that I have in my life. I can absolutely attribute all of the change (the bumpy parts and the blessings) to my work with healing and Universal energies.

I was recently reflecting on some Reiki teachings and shared with someone that when you welcome the healing energy of Reiki into your life (either through energy healing sessions or being attuned to Reiki energy), the energy will move through you to help redirect you onto your true path. When I first heard that teaching, I was terrified that I would lose some things that were comfortable in my life. I did lose some things, but in looking back those were things that were not beneficial for me living my best life. They were holding me back. And what I saw was that when something leaves, something else must appear.

If you feel uncomfortable in any part of your life, welcoming healing and Universal energies in your life will help to make those subtle shifts to get you on your path. If you can trust in the process and know that change will be in your best interest, then you can relax and enjoy the journey. And after all, isn’t that what life is supposed to be?
