Balance and Grow your Life: Is it really possible?

The Oola Guru (Troy Amdahl @oolaguru) and Oola Seeker (Dave Braun @oolaseeker) are two moving’ and shakin’ guys who created the Oola movement. They are helping people balance and grow in all areas of their life. When I first met them in 2014 I thought Is that even possible?

So Dave and Troy ask whether this statement fits your life right now: “Ooh la la … that’s what life feels like when you’re happy, growing, and looking forward to what the world has store for you.” (From the new Oola for Women book) If you’re laughing or crying hysterically because your first thought was oh heck no, keep reading because Oola will change your life for the better.

The Oola Life for me started with the first book Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World which raised my awareness and provided practical steps on how to balance and grow 7 areas of life. I was anything but balanced at that point. The book is a roadmap to rediscovering you! It’s still a book that I go back to and look through all of my highlights and notes.

Then came the free online Oola test where you can see where you rate in these 7 areas of life: Faith, Family, Field, Finances, Fitness, Friends and Fun. It’s eye opening because you will see where you’re life is lacking, lopsided and loopy.

Imagine these 7 areas of life are shaped like a tire. If the tire is lopsided it would be a bumpy ride. If it is deflated in all areas, you wouldn’t go anywhere. But when it’s equal on all 7 sides (balanced) and inflated (growing), you glide easily to your destination.

If you’re doing awesome in your Field (career) but lacking in friends or fun, you’re lopsided. If you’re rocking it on faith and family but financially broke, you’re lopsided. All 7 areas connect. When one struggles, others feel it and it’s a bumpy ride.

Next came the Oola collaboration with Young Living Essential Oils where you can use essentials oils specifically labeled to help you balance and grow those 7 areas of life. And you can enhance them with Oola Balance and Oola Grow oils. So do you need to balance field/work and grow fun? I can personally attest to the power and effectiveness of these oils. And it was!

But now this movement just got even sweeter. Because on May 2nd, the Oola Seeker and Oola Guru have a new book being released. Ladies …. Get ready for Oola For Women!

So I want you to think about these 7 areas of your life: faith, family, field, finance, fitness, friends and fun. Are you balanced and growing all of them? Struggling to survive? Lopsided? If you’re not any of those, I want to meet up with you because you’re a Super  Hero!

So let’s get back to this new Oola for Women book being launched on May 2, 2017. The 2017 Word of the Year is …

Each year I select a word that resonates with the upcoming year. Often it is a word of what I feel will unfold: a word of what I want or feel will manifest, and most often it is a word for everyone!

In 2014 it was balance. In 2015 it was movement. And in 2016 it was visibility.

And for 2017 the word is …. fulfilled!!!!

I look for continuous signs and synchronicities in the last few weeks in the year to show what may come in the following year. And this word kept bonking me on the head. The final blow was when I was watching Tony Robbins in a live stream presentation from Las Vegas earlier in the month. He spoke about how we have a human need to grow to the next level, we instinctively want to improve the quality of our life, and we crave living life on our own terms. In doing this, we must master two skills: the science of achievement and the art of fulfillment.

In mastering the science of achievement, learn from high achievers and do what they do, become obsessed about what you want to achieve, take massive action and find effective ways of moving forward, and in doing this find and be in grace/God because as you acknowledge and appreciate where you are, the more that will show up to move you down your path.

Now in the art of fulfillment, this absolutely bonked me over the head. This is different for everyone, but it’s figuring out what fulfills you. Think about that? What fulfills you? Why do you spend the time the way that you do? Is it because you have to or because you want to?

It’s a very deep question and I really pondered. I do a lot, I have monster goals, I am constantly growing and learning, and I have lots of passion projects. Most people get dizzy when they see all that I do and all that I have planned. But in the end, what about all of that fulfills me?

Tony said, success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure. Fulfillment requires growth as a person while you contribute and give. It’s about trading expectations for appreciation and living in a beautiful state. It’s about being obsessed to find beauty in everything so that you live in a beautiful state of mind. This beautiful state sustains you even when things are not going your way. Because when you live from a beautiful state you are high energy and high peak performance. When you a frustrated, overwhelmed, worried, fearful, beating yourself up, you are in a suffering state.

Wow.

Too many people choose to suffer. So why not choose a beautiful state and find fulfillment every day?

So how does being fulfilled relate to you? I find that most people can generally be placed into two categories: (1) people who have goals, dreams, plan, take action and aim to be the best version of themselves that they can; and (2) people who go with the flow of life, who are content but secretly waiting for something better, but are not necessarily setting goals or taking steps towards what they want.

If you are a goal and dream-driven person, being fulfilled is finding out why you are goal and dream-driven, what makes you tick, work long hours, plan and strategize, work on intentions, affirmations, have vision boards all over the place, and work on being your best you every day? It can be exhausting, yet why does it feel rewarding?

If you are a go-with-the-flow-of-life person, finding fulfillment is in the introspection of looking at your life and deciding whether it’s what you want when you come to the end of your days. Will you look back and feel that it was the best life you could live?

Fulfillment is different for everyone. Without fulfillment, whatever we accomplish in life doesn’t matter. At the end of our life, no one ever wishes for one last conference call, staff meeting, email, cleaning the house, or being at the whim of someone else’s schedule.

So as we bid farewell to the crazy life-changing energy of 2016 (which was a 9 ending year in numerology) and welcome in the radical changes of 2017 (a 1 year of beginnings), I hope that you’ll spend some time to identify what fulfills you. It will be time well spent and could change how 2017 unfolds for you.

Give yourself radical permission to find what fulfills you and then put your time there in 2017!

Annual Ritual 2016

Sand DreamsEach birthday, many people reflect back on the prior year and assess the achievement of their goals or what has been left undone. Some people do this consciously as an annual ritual, while others try to ward off thoughts of their birthday.

My birthday arrives in a few days, so I’m in the process of my annual ritual. Because this is also a milestone birthday, I’m in a lifetime review ritual as well. And I realized that the last time I blogged about my annual ritual was 5 years ago in 2011. My how time flies!

Here’s what I know: It can be easy to focus on what has been left undone and continue to add the same goals to your list to be achieved by your next birthday. It can be frustrating to keep putting the same goals on your list and not achieve them (I know … I have 2 big ones that still make my annual list).

Maybe you write out your list of intentions and goals and put it in an envelope not to be opened until your next birthday, or you post your intentions like a banner in a place you will see it everyday.

Having your list of intentions written out is a good practice for staying focused everyday so that you take actionable steps to manifest what you desire. Because intentions and desires without action just end up being unfulfilled wishes, right?

So if you feel like you have the same goals year after year and have not achieved what you want, you may simply need to shift your energy to identify what is blocking you, or take a hard look look as to why you are not reaching your goal and reconfigure those goals into something that is more aligned with why you are on this planet.

One good practice for shifting your energy is to focus on what you accomplished during the past year rather than focusing on what you did not achieve. If your energy is focused on lack and what you have still to achieve, then that sends a message to the Universe that you have lack and you will only manifest “the desire to achieve” rather than actually achieving your goal.

Mental health dyayHow do you do this? On your birthday, give yourself the gift of a day off and take the day for yourself. Spend the day focused on gratitude for all that you accomplished in the last year and that will increase your vibration to allow you to reach more of your goals.

So while there are so many goals and milestones left on my list,  when I think back to what I’ve done over my lifetime it is mind blowing. When I look just over the past year, these are just a few things that I am grateful for achieving (all of which were intentional and on my intentions board):

  • My health is thriving (and the same for kitties) to which I credit moving back home to Michigan in 2015 for a more balanced lifestyle and infusing myself and the kitties with Young Living oil-infused products;
  • I have grown my Young Living team because I share how awesome the oils and products are with everyone and anyone who is struggling, and I started working with team members who are interested in doing the same which has given me such joy to help them achieve their wellness and financial goals;
  • I made the courageous decision to walk way from an unsupportive legal work environment and decided to be my own boss which has resulted in delicious freedom and the opportunity to work with two universities on human-animal interaction programs and numerous invitations to teach at conferences;
  • For the first time I was invited to teach at a conference overseas, in Prague, this past May on my Therapy Animals Supporting Kids program which is helping to place volunteer therapy animal teams with abused children going through the court system and I have just confirmed another invitation to teach overseas later in the year;
  • I authored two book chapters:
  • I have made some awesome new friends, reconnected with friends from the past and met some really amazing people this past year;
  • And last but not least, this past year I have found a beautiful balance where I have more fun time and time to reflect.

Be happyLife is an adventure to be cherished. Do your best to live the life you were meant to live, stay focused on what you want to achieve, take action towards those goals, and focus on small and big successes. But above all else, be happy!

P.S. My cat Lucy (pictured below) turned 18 this month and I am so incredibly grateful to have her in my life.

Taking a Leap: Why you must move on your dream

In March of 2015, I took a Quantum Leap. I walked away from over 11 years in the Virginia/Washington D.C. area and an expanding national career to move home to Michigan for a calmer lifestyle and a career on my terms. Overall it has been the best experience, though probably one of the more crazier things I have done.

31n4uXXo-cL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_Today I read a really amazing book called you² by Price Pritchett. It’s a short 36-page book that is packed with powerful information. I’ve studied the Law of Attraction, quantum physics, and manifesting mindsets for over a decade. But I love how this simple book put it all into perspective. As I read it, I kept saying I did that, that problem is happening now, I need to do that, etc. As I read it, I realized that I took a massive Quantum Leap last year and I continue to leap every day.

So what is a Quantum Leap? It’s doing something different than the past; it’s a major change in your way of thinking; it’s having faith, taking action and THEN figuring it out as you go along. It’s knowing what your end result is and taking action towards it  (not just thinking about it). A Quantum Leap is contrary to the status quo, playing it safe, or waiting for things to be perfectly lined up before you make a move. A Quantum Leap is action … it’s a leap even when you’re not ready!

I’m a big fan of vision boards, writing out goals and action steps (because you are more likely to succeed when you write out goals and action steps), engaging in personal development everyday, tapping to remove blocks from success, working with energy tools to keep my vibration high and aligned with my goals, and positive manifesting. And all of that is fantastic to get you to the place where you know what your goal is. But to achieve that goal, you have to take action even when you don’t feel ready.

One of my goals was to create a healing business. I had no clue how to run a business or how I would do it while I had a full time legal career, but I didn’t let that stop me. The first thing I did was to come up with a name … Manifested Harmony! Then the next thing I did was to incorporate. That was 5 years ago this month! Then the next step was a website. Then the next step was a Facebook page. And it’s just been one step after the next. Nothing is ever done or perfect. But if I waited then Manifested Harmony would not exist, or the 50-some classes and workshops I’ve taught would not have happened. And you would certainly not be reading this. Quantum leaps have a just do it attitude and things always work out.

But my big Quantum Leap was moving when in reality it did not make a lot of sense but it felt right. Here’s what I’ve learned in my Quantum Leap:

  • When you know your end goal, take the first step (any step) and get the process moving because moving is progress towards that goal;
  • We are conditioned to believe we must have every step planned out when doing something new but all that means is that you will move slowly, if at all, because you will think yourself out of something amazing or fail to take action because everything is not perfectly in place;
  • When you leap without a net and not knowing the next step but yet it feels right, you will find your way safely to the ground while enjoying the ride because you have faith and faith will show you the next step;
  • You have no idea what you are capable of until you jump and sadly most people do not ever jump in their lifetime because of fear;
  • When you leap you will quickly become comfortable with being uncomfortable, with change, with thinking and doing things differently, in trusting your intuition, and not knowing the next step;
  • But above all else, a leap requires you to take positive action instead of simply sitting back and passively believing that positive thinking will bring you what you desire.

Some people know what they want and where they want to be, but most people don’t have a clue if you ask them. I actually wrote “That’s okay” as the start of this sentence but then I realized that is NOT okay to have no clue about what you want in life. Every person has a duty to figure out why they are on this planet and what gift they have to bring. Whatever it takes, give yourself the opportunity to figure it out.

Although my end goals are still a work in progress, I was one of those people who could see the end result but I could not see the steps to get there. What I knew was that if I waited for the steps (even the first step) to be shown to me, I would never take action and would be waiting a life time to get started. So for those of you who DO know what you want but you are doing nothing because you don’t know where to start, here’s my advice: just do something! It doesn’t have to be perfect (most likely it won’t be). Just get moving and do it today! When you put off taking action, that action has a lower chance of happening.

The steps will be shown when you take that first step. But how do I know what step to take if I take action without knowing the first step? This is where you have to start tapping in to your intuition, gut instincts, inner voice, higher self, God’s voice, or whatever you want to call it. You get signs, messages, ideas, inklings all day long. Take one idea and take action. Then the next inkling will come and you take action on that.

Quantum leaps are not about forcing something to happen; they are not about working harder; they are not about doing the same thing that was successful in the past. Quantum Leaps are about being unconventional, rethinking what you’re thinking, getting out of your way and taking risks. You cannot keep doing the same thing and expect different results. And you cannot keep doing nothing and expect something to happen, right?

if-you-must-doubt-something-doubt-your-limits-quote-1Price Pritchett said, “Quantum leaps cannot be achieved through incremental steps or through ‘more of the same’.” When you keep doing the same thing, pushing and working harder with little or no results, that’s when you need to quit what you’re doing and create space for the better way to come in. But we are such a doing society, right? And this is where going against the status quo can result in great results.

We are all here to create and implement a dream that is uniquely ours; something that will benefit the energy of the planet overall. Maybe it’s something huge like a new invention or a large-scale business, or maybe it’s something smaller like writing a book, or teaching a class on something you are good at doing. For me it’s leaving a legacy where animals (and their people) are safe and well. It’s about ending pound seizure (shelter animals sold into research), ending tax-payer funded animal research, ending pet overpopulation, and my Sheltering Animals & Families Together (SAF-T) initiative (which was a HUGE Quantum Leap idea).

No matter how big or small your end goal, you must move on your dream. It’s not optional, it’s mandatory. When you fail to move on your dream, you deny that energy from benefiting everyone and everything. But most of all, you deny yourself your purpose for being here. And humans crave having a purpose.

I would encourage you to get the book you². It’s a simple read and that could be your first leap towards achieving what you really want!

Why does sabotage happen when I’m on a roll?

41mEEr0uXvL._SX333_BO1,204,203,200_-2Upper Limit Problem. Ever heard of it? I had not until I read “The Big Leap” by Gay Hendricks. And it was a real eye opener. Click on the photo to get the book because it will change your life!

So what is ULP? Gay Hendricks summed it up beautifully: “Each of us has an inner thermostat setting that determines how much love, success and creativity we allow ourselves to enjoy. When we exceed our inner thermostat setting, we will often do something to sabotage ourselves, causing us to drop back into the old, familiar zone where we feel secure.”

ULP is where we have a comfort zone core belief on what we believe is the most we can expect from a situation (work, money, relationships, health, etc.). When we start pushing on the ULP like we’re breaking through a glass ceiling to get to the next level, that’s when an issue happens that derails us.

Have you ever been on a roll, things are going great, you’re feeling great, work is great, relationships are great, money is coming in, you feel like you’re making a difference and reaching for the next ring on the ladder? You may even have the thought that things are way too good right now. And then BOOM! The big smack down happens.

The smack down can appear as subconscious negative talk, getting sick, getting injured, getting into a fight with a co-worker/loved one, backing out of an opportunity, doing something publicly stupid, or just basically royally messing up the situation for no good reason. We don’t do this consciously and intentionally; it’s our ULP kicking in based on a core belief that we’ve gotten as high/good/successful/happy as we should. So when we start to knock on that ceiling to go to the next level, the subconscious saboteur comes out to join our party.

With a big leap comes a big mess.

Is this ringing a bell? Think back to a time when you felt great, felt like you were on top of the world, and then it crashed. If you really look objectively to what was going on, and what you were thinking/doing/believing, you may find that you experienced ULP.

There are 4 basic beliefs that trigger ULP:

  • that we are fundamentally flawed and not entitled to greatness,
  • that if we expand we will be disloyal to our tribe,
  • that with great success brings great burdens, and
  • if we really shine we won’t fit in.

Once I learned about ULP, I could identify times in my life where I ULP’d myself into a royal screw up, an illness, or talking myself out of an opportunity. I’m a shiner and each time I get smacked down it derails my progress. But once I learned this, I now shine and hand out sunglasses to the smacker downers. And now I see this with friends, colleagues, and clients and I just want to take them into a ULP Anonymous Meeting!

So how do you identify and stop yourself from crashing into an Upper Limit Problem? It’s really a simple answer. Look out for these emotions/actions: worry, criticism, blame, deflecting compliments, arguing, getting sick/hurt, hiding your feelings, not keeping promises, not speaking your truth.

Also, be aware and objective about your beliefs, thoughts, actions and words when you are in the midst of pursuing a big goal. If you start to sniff the hint of sabotage, shine a light on it, recognize it, write down everything that you’re uniquely good at to get yourself over the hurdle, and simply use the power of decision and will to go through the fear. Because on the other side of fear is greatness.

Getting closer to the one thing that you want

I would venture to say that everyone has a goal that they are working to obtain. And some of us have dozens of goals (okay, that’s me … it may be a little scattered to have so many goals … no judging! 😉 ) . The goal could something simple like going throughout the day happy, without pain, eating the best you can one meal at a time …. or it could be bigger like working towards writing a book, a career change, achieving a certain financial goal, manifesting a vacation, a relationship, a new home, and the list goes on.

I know people who are extremely goal driven (yes, that’s me) and I know people who claim they have no goals (yet what they do everyday is goal driven, even getting out of bed). Whether you feel it, humans are hardwired to have goals. Achieving a goal is something that gives us humans energy, vitality, and a sense of purpose. It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning and gives us something to focus on and work towards.

But what happens when you have been steadily focused and working towards a goal and it’s still a glimmer far off in the distance? You’ve planned, strategized, worked on it everyday, stayed focused, built vision boards, been positive, acted as if, prayed to the Law of Attraction Gods … and it’s still not arrived. I know because I have a monster goal that still evades me!!!!!! Sometimes I think the Universe has me test out things for everyone else … but that’s okay, I’m up for the challenge. 

It’s easy to get frustrated, disappointed and give up. The unreachable goal can make us work more, push harder, and go for it with even more energy. I’ve learned that is the opposite energy that the situation needs. I’m not saying sit back, do nothing, and eat ice-cream all day. As your personal test subject (I’m happy to serve), what I’ve been doing is the fine art of surrender (and it’s working).

What does it mean to surrender? Everyone talks about it and I’ve always wondered what exactly does that mean? I’m a Leo and very driven, so surrender to me meant giving up. So I looked up the definition and it means to cease resistance. Duh!!! Resistance pushes away what you want! That’s a basic Law of Attraction practice. I know that! But sometimes we forget what we know.

But how do you give up resistance and working towards something without giving up? How do you stay focused on your goal (which gives it energy) but not become a stalker so that you push it away?

Don’t give up the goal … give us the resistance! You’ll be amazed at what happens.

So how did I give up the resistance? I spent more time in meditation and ramped up my tapping (I love Brad Yates’ videos). And then it came to me: surrender is about acceptance of right timing. If you feel that your goal is unreachable, too far away, or questioning whether you’re manifesting correctly, accept that you are exactly where you are and be grateful that you’re there! Chances are that you are closer to your goal this month than you were last month, so celebrate that!

Maybe you need to be just shy of your goal so that you have more time to get other things in place to help you handle reaching the goal? So surrendering is not about doing nothing, it’s still focusing on your goal and getting ready for when it arrives. Pretend like it’s the 9 months before a baby is birthed … plan for the arrival!

When you accept/surrender that the timing is always right, the resistance falls away and you will be amazed at what happens.

Another thing that I did was work with a trio of therapeutic-grade essential oils (you know, the kind of oils that actually do something other than smell good). Check the oil protocol below that I used to support me in surrendering the resistance while drawing in my goal!

Surrender is a calming, soothing blend formulated for individuals who feel a need to be controlling. It helps quiet troubled hearts so that negative emotions can be released. I topically apply over my stomach (our power center in the 3rd chakra).

Acceptance oil blend stimulates the mind with oils specially blended to promote feelings of accepting ourselves and others, regardless of perceived barriers. This blend also helps overcome procrastination and denial. I topically apply this over my heart (our emotional balance center in the 4th chakra).

Release combines uplifting, calming oils that stimulate a sense of peace and emotional well-being, which in turn facilitate the ability to release anger and frustration. I topically apply this to my throat (our communication center in the 5th chakra).

Each December on my Facebook page, I post a daily item of one of my favorite things. It could be a book, training program, crystal, essential oil. It’s something that I have worked with that has risen to the top of my Favorite Things! Enjoy this list of my Favorite Things for 2016!

Thieves detergentAllie’s Favorite Thing #1: Thieves laundry soap and dish soap! Young Living launched these two products at the Grand Convention in August. I was struggling to find an all-natural non-toxic dish soap and laundry detergent that did not contain sodium lauryl sulfate. Life is meant to be full of leaps and some are bigger than others. This books gives guidance and reassurance that when you listen to your inner voice, IT IS NEVER WRONG! This is a must read for 2016!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #6: The Fairy Tarot cards were by my favorite cards for 2015 and will be going into 2016. I love the fairy realm and the gentle guidance we can receive. These cards are so incredibly beautiful to look at and this is known as the “self esteem” deck. Whether you read the booklet or simply let the beauty of the cards and fairies speak to you, you will receive clear guidance for fulfilling your life purpose.

Fairy gardens bring out your inner child and imagination and so fun to create. Whether you build little fairy houses, buy trinkets, string fairy lights, or plant botanicals and crystals, you will love to sit with your fairy garden. It is my favorite place to meditate.

Allie’s Favorite Thing #8: Christmas Spirit is a blend of Cinnamon, Orange and Spruce. It is what I diffuse, pretty much non-stop, from Halloween through the end of January. Allie’s Favorite Thing #9: If you haven’t worked with Leonie Dawson’s workbooks, then this will be a real treat! I’ve worked with these for 4 years and they get better each year. There is a calendar/workbook for business and one for your life! You debrief the previous year and get really specific about achieving your goals in 2016. This is a must have if you’re serious about 2016 being your best year yet!

Once you purchase the base ingredients, they are so inexpensive to make … and fun! I’ve included a recipe card and you can purchase lip balm tubes or tins from Amazon. If you’re using the tubes, take old egg cartons, cut out small holes in the bottom, and the tubes will fit in and stand up when you pour in the balm mixture!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #11: While taking the Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp (which was Favorite Thing #3), I found the Get Rich Lucky Bitch book by Denise Duffield-Thomas and I love love love it! Everyone has money blocks and this book has practical fun tips that you can take to start moving those blocks away so that you can manifest the financial abundance you desire. I read a lot of books each year and this one is at the top of my favorite list.

Allie’s Favorite Thing #12: Mini travel diffuser! I spend a lot of time traveling for work and this is a must-have to keep yourself well. I plug it in when I get to a hotel room and let it infuse the room with good smelling wellness. But it’s also excellent to take to your office or any other location where you want to enjoy the benefits of essential oils!

I love the imagery on these cards and they are so much fun to work with. But most importantly, they are freakishly accurate! If you’ve never worked with oracle cards, just shuffle the cards as you think of your question. Then draw 1, 2, 3 or more cards.

Allie’s Favorite Thing #14: Angel Tuners! I discovered these when I was visiting Sedona (most magical place) in October. I love healing sound, but these are truly out of this world. The 3 tuning forks have the vibrational frequency of 4096 Hz, 4160 Hz and 4225 Hz!!! They were created to help raise our vibration so that we can better hear angelic guidance. Just clang the tuning fork and wave it through your energy field and you will feel lighter and more connected. It’s awesome!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #15: Marie Forleo’s B-School is for anyone who will do the work to launch their passion business. This is an intensive online school for anyone who is serious about growing their business and truly being their own boss. It is practical, eye-opening and Marie’s personality is funny at times. I invested in my business and myself earlier in the year and went through B-School. It was one of the best investments I’ve made. Allie’s Favorite Thing #16: Nail polish rack for your essential oils! When you become an oil hoarder like I have, you want them at your fingertips and displayed beautifully. This nail polish rack does it!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #17: Don’t Let Anything Dull Your Sparkle! This is Doreen Virtue’s latest book and it’s unlike any of her other books. It addresses how people are addicted to drama, how stress and even certain types of foods create a histamine-response in our body that draws us to drama and creates a vicious cycle. Very eye-opening!

Peppermint Vanilla Sugar ScrubAllie’s Favorite Thing #18: Make your own sugar scrub! This year I have really gone towards non-toxic all-natural products and that includes all bath and body products! We are surrounded by toxins all day long so it’s no wonder that so many people are getting sick. You can totally do something about that and start making your own products! It’s really easy, you know exactly what the ingredients are and you will save a lot of money. Here is my favorite recipes for sugar scrubs!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #19: Passion planner. This is a 2nd calendar planner that I have been working with the past few months and I really love it. It’s contained in one small book, you can list out your hourly/daily tasks, your goals, wishes, and set milestones you want to reach. I have been testing out different planners because I spend a lot of time with goal setting and my days are always packed with meetings, etc. This is a great planner that brings everything together in one planner!

Copaiba1Allie’s Favorite Thing #20: Favorite oils for cats! Young Living Frankincense and Copaiba! These two oils will be your cat’s best friends. I like to combine them together in a bottle (I clean out and use my empty essential oil bottles), add in a carrier oil (a 8-10 drop ratio of carrier oil to 1 drop of essential oil) and then I apply a small amount down the back of my cats. These are two powerful wellness oils that work at the cellular level! (P.S. Most oils are not safe for pets, so be sure to use Young Living!)

You put your feet in warm water, the ionic instrument is placed in the water, and through the exchange of positive and negative ions, you detox especially heavy metals, yeast and other yuckies! But biggest benefit is that you also alkalize your body. Read the article below on why that’s important. My motto … better out than in! I have an ionic foot bath about every 3 weeks. Look at the ingredients in your bath and body products. If you cannot pronounce an ingredient, then you shouldn’t be using it. Why not make your own luscious body butter using just a few natural ingredients! Check out this awesome body butter recipe that will make your dry winter skin say Aaaaahhhh!!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #30: The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. I listed to this audio book when I was on a long drive from Michigan to Virginia and back. It is packed full of practical and awesome guidance on how we can continue to grow in our lives and businesses. I’m always engaging in personal development and this is one book that is worth getting as we get ready to welcome in 2016!

Allie’s Favorite Thing #31: Angel Answers oracle cards. Sometimes we just need a blunt answer, right? I love these cards because they are blunt and give you quick answers. You don’t have to be trained in how to work with oracle cards. Just get a deck, shuffle it while thinking of your question and then you will instinctively pick the right card. I love this deck!!!

What happens when you are doing your passion work?

AdLast night someone said to me that they could not wait for today because they would be taking 2 weeks away from the office. This time of year I would also be looking forward to taking 2 weeks off over the Christmas holidays. I would bank my vacation days and eagerly look forward to 2 weeks of turning off my legal brain and having no work travel. I would usually “work” on Manifested Harmony business (like creating new classes), but I enjoyed that so it did not feel like work. What I was doing was taking a vacation from office drama and stressful work that was draining. I love my work to protect animals, but the peripheral office stress was what I needed a vacation from.

So what’s different this year? Well … I moved back home to Michigan for a less-stressed lifestyle; I walked away from office drama and that peripheral stress and now work from home; I don’t have to bank vacation days or have a year-long craving for 2 weeks away from the office because I can take a vacation and days off whenever I want.

Infused-7-graphicHow did I do it? I made the bold-big-leap-you-can-fly-and-be-your-own-boss decision earlier in the year. I uprooted everything, shook that proverbial snow globe and love where everything has settled. What I did was take control of my days, my work and my life. What I did was consciously work the Law of Attraction and act as if what I desired was actually happening (like telling people I was going to move about a year before I actually did). I truly believed it was happening, I talked about it, and then I started taking the steps and it all felt divinely guided. I also worked extensively with my essential oils to maintain faith and strength during the change (the Oola Infused7 oil kit was amazing).

Every day I decide when I want to work, who I want to work with, what I want to work on, and for how long. Mondays are no longer a dread day, there’s no TGIF because every day is TGIF, and I don’t hold my breath until I can take an extended vacation from “the office”.

So today, in particular, is very different than the past 20+ years because normally it would be “THE LAST FRIDAY BEFORE MY 2 WEEK VACATION!!!” Instead, today is yet another awesome day where I’m not living for a vacation or working for the weekend, but living each day fully.

My home and the world is my office, my work and who I hang out with are my choosing. It’s liberating, it’s awesome, it’s life changing. When you make the decision to pursue your passion work, your world changes.

Of course, you have to get comfortable with potentially making less money to start with (although it’s really smart to launch your passion biz while you still have another income), getting comfortable with change and relying on yourself for your financial stability. Too many people are frozen in fear in taking that step, but I can tell you from experience that there is nothing to fear. It’s invigorating and when you can block the nay-sayers you will learn so much about yourself and what you are capable of doing.

Dir of my lifeMost people have a hobby that they dream about turning into a business. They dream about being the Director of a business called My Life. They visualize what it would be like to take back their days and make a positive impact by sharing their gift(s) with the world. But most people either don’t know how to get started or they are too busy and too stressed to take the first step.

Rest then act

Have you felt like the past few years have been all about identifying what is no longer working for you and releasing? Have you noticed that people, situations, and things fell away during this time? Some may have been welcomed releases and others sad releases. I had some friends and work situations fall away and it was sad but necessary because they were weighing me down. What has become clear is that the past few years gave us an opportunity to reflect on our lives, face fear (to stop us from living in fear), and make much-needed changes.

But now the energy of change and release is not as intense. Have you felt relief in the past few weeks? I certainly have. We are in a time to rest, reflect, rejuvenate, and re-evaluate because very soon it will be time to start moving forward and taking action without the weight of what we released. Part of this rest is due to being in Mercury Retrograde (which ends on October 9th). But if you’re like me, you’re having trouble fully resting because we’ve spent 2-3 years doing, going, releasing, changing and consciously (or subconsciously) reworking our lives. Do you still feel like you need to be going and moving but the energies are making you tired to force some rest?

Here’s the thing about the time of rest that we’re in … it’s really important that you take advantage of this energetic down time. Take some time right now to reflect on these questions and write down your answers:

  • What did your life look like 3 years ago and where are you now that is different? What was your fear level 3 years ago on a scale of 1 to 10?
  • What has fallen away (disappeared/released) from your life in the past 3 years and how do you now feel about that? Look at career, relationships, health, finances, where you live, people who surround you, etc.
  • When you look back 3 years, how do you feel about your life right now?
  • Knowing where you are now, how do you now feel about change?
  • And on a scale of 1 to 10, where is your fear level today?

Taking the time right now to reflect on these questions and where you are now will help you get prepared to take action and start moving forward to embrace and grab the life that you are meant to have (without the weight of old energies from the past). Are you ready to do that? It’s okay if you feel nervous about it or don’t see the path clearly in front of you. First you need to give yourself some time, even just a day or two, to rest and reflect. Then you can get moving again and you will know the first step to take.

For the past 3 years, you may not have consciously made changes, but found yourself walking the path of change. That’s how the new energies are working. So these changes will continue to take place whether you recognize it or not because change begins at the subconscious and energy level.

  • Embrace change, don’t fight it, and go with the flow. When you fight change it’s like paddling back up stream and you’re only going to get exhausted. Drop the oars of resistance and see where it takes you.
  • Be aware of how your days unfold. Too many people are going through the motions because they are so stressed or so busy. That’s not living. I know, because I was there. When you become consciously aware of how you spend your days, you will more easily accept when a new path appears.
  • Get yourself a stock of therapeutic-grade essential oils that will support you during change and promote a positive attitude. When you work with these oils, you change your vibration. And when you have a vibrational level that you can sustain without it being a rollercoaster, you will feel better physically and emotionally.   • Tap tap tap. When you use the Emotional Freedom Technique everyday and tap on concerns, worries, and energy blocks, you can release those and let other deep-down issues bubble up so that those can be released too. Tapping will help you feel better as change happens.
  • And be very discerning about what you think, what you say, and what you do. The energies are such that manifesting is happening rapidly for many people. What you think, say and do will appear in your world. So if you are thinking about money worries, you will have money worries. If you tell people how sick/tired/upset you are, you will be sick/tired/upset. If you are engaging in activities/work that do not bring you joy and fulfillment, then you are sending a conflicting message to the Universe that you give your precious time to these unfulfilling tasks and you will get more of the same.

Mercury Retrograde ends on Friday. So give yourself the space until then to rest, reflect, rejuvenate and re-evaluate. When you do that, you will have the energy to take action and soar in the right direction. Without it, you may continue to feel weighted down.

The Concern with Other People’s Money

We live in a society where everyone wants to have financial abundance, right? The phrase financial freedom is now common and is often the most requested wish in prayers, affirmations, vision boards and intention setting. Everyone, no matter where they live, their education, their culture, wants to live without money worries. We live in a money driven world and having money provides security and safety. But most people have money blocks.

What is a money block? It’s a belief system that is stored in your energy field that holds your true un-politically correct belief about money. If you are praying, visualizing and intending for financial freedom/abundance but you have a core belief that is the opposite, the core belief wins out every time.

So why I am talking about this today? It’s because I am seeing more and more social media posts where people are shaming others for making large sums of money. In particular, a post is making the rounds again about large annual salaries of non-profit organization CEOs. And recently I learned that one of my business mentors has been publicly shamed for what she charges for her services; amazing services that have given her financial freedom to do the work that she loves. Don’t you want to be paid to do the work that you love?

Here’s what I think when I see people sharing money shaming posts and expressing outrage about the money that other people make:

  1. Is the information actually accurate? It amazes me how people are quick to forward something without verifying that it’s true. So much online information is not accurate. So by sharing, you are making an assumption on a false belief that it’s true. And when you then attach your negative opinion (your energy) about how much money other people make, it sends out an energy wave of negativity that will come back on you but will also impact those around you. That’s just a bad move, so don’t do it!
  2. Even if the information is true about other people’s money, who are we to judge what another high-level leader makes in a salary? Businesses and non-profits have boards of directors who have approved a CEO’s salary. And we do not know what the CEO has to do for that salary (e.g., the number of hours worked each week, the stress of holding a business on his/her shoulders, etc.) or whether the CEO donates a large portion of the salary back to the company. But the instant assumption is negative (e.g., the CEO is greedy so don’t donate to that non-profit) rather than positive (e.g., the CEO has donated a portion of the salary to building an animal sanctuary or a children’s hospital). When people react negatively about other people’s money, this is a core belief that money is evil and you cannot do good things or be a good person if you have a 7-figure or higher salary.
  3. When you privately, and publicly, criticize another person for achieving financial freedom, that solely speaks to your insecurity, jealousy, and recognition that you do not have the right vibration or energy to draw in financial freedom. Misery loves company, right? So you shame the other person for making good money. The first response is to attack the person rather than celebrate the person for achieving financial abundance.

There is more than enough money and stuff to go around for everyone. There is no shortage of money but there is a shortage of the money mindset. If you have a shortage of money, this is directly related to your money vibe. Your reaction relates to your core belief around money. If you cannot be happy for others who are financially thriving, then you have a money block and you will not thrive. You cannot speak negatively about someone (even someone you don’t know) and expect to have good things happen. Your reaction has nothing to do with the other person’s money and everything to do with your poverty mindset, the “why don’t I have money” mindset. If you were offered a 7-figure income as the CEO of a nonprofit organization that could change the world, would you turn it down? Of course not. That may sound harsh but I feel that it’s a message that everyone needs to hear.

When we are so quick to condemn people for making good money, it is an emotional attack (often from behind the safety of your computer) that was not caused by the other person; it was totally set in motion by you. And when you share a post, it has the same energy as if you initiated the post. As I was writing that sentence, this article on emotional attacks came into my inbox and it’s totally worth reading. Now that’s serendipity.

ThinkingSo what can you do to raise your money vibe and stop worrying about other people’s money?

    • Be grateful that others are making a good living doing the work that they love because they are giving you a road map to show that it can be done! Be grateful for those teachers, figure out what makes them successful, and then model what they do! Of course, make sure that they are a person of integrity. There are so many integrity money makers out there that it will not be difficult to find a mentor.
    • Work with these crystals: Carnelian, Citrine, Green Aventurine, Malachite and Pyrite.

  • And my personal favorite are these essential oils: Abundance, Gratitude, Oola Faith, Oola Field, Oola Finance all enhanced with Oola Grow! I love to diffuse Abundance and Gratitude (separately) and then I combine the 4 Oola oils in my hand and cup my palm over my nose and inhale the energy while reciting money vibe affirmations (e.g., I am financially free and working/contributing to society in a positive way). I do this 3 times per day until I no longer worry about money. It really works!

When you can be grateful for what you have and spend less time focusing on what other’s have, you will quickly see how things will change for the better. Thoughts create things … so make sure you have good thoughts!
