Can you protect yourself from EMFs and 5G?

I’m concerned

A news story caught my eye this week about the full 5G rollout by 2 major cellular phone carriers this month. And not in a good way.

I am the furtherest from a conspiracy theorist. My law school education and attorney career trained me question everything and do my own research ever since I entered a law classroom in August 1990.

When I saw news coverage about the airline industry pushing back on the rollout, all my red flags went up. While the airline industry is looking at it from the perspective that 5G technology may interfere with aircraft electronics, I’m looking at whether it is interfering with us at a cellular and DNA level.

This article from the Karelian Heritage business explains how 5G is different than electro-magnetic frequencies and traditional WiFi. 5G only travels small distances (about 150 meters) which is why there are and will be so many towers. That concerns me.

I read an article last week from a doctor who outlined how humans are far sicker now because of the diseases and ailments that are filling up hospitals that never happened 40 years ago. (I forgot to save it and now can’t find it.) Why is that?

My lawyer brain has been putting these pieces together for years and I don’t like what the puzzle shows. As a society with medical advancements, we should be getting healthier. But we are getting sicker and sicker each year and much of it cannot be explained or prevented.

What’s going on? I don’t know, but I know about vibrational frequencies so I’m looking at health and wellness from that perspective now.

Because I understand energetic vibrational frequencies, and knowing that everything that has ever been created and existed was made up of frequencies, I am concerned what these invisible frequencies are doing to our body at a cellular and DNA level. Is it wearing us down to where we can’t even fight off basic viruses and diseases?

When I read this 2011 report from the World Health Organization International Agency for Research on Cancer labeling radio frequency electromagnetic fields as being possibly carcinogenic, and knowing we now cannot get away from all of the unseen frequencies the surround us 24/7, what can we do?

I am not here to speculate or go down the conspiracy rabbit hole. Instead, I would rather give some recommendations on what I am doing. And I will continue to update this as I research proven techniques.

What does the research say?

Shungite and Black Tourmaline crystals

For years I have researched ways that we can protect ourselves from unseen frequencies, short of wearing a tin foil hat. There are a LOT of crazy claims being made about products being sold. They may work but I’m not sold on them because claims are made without proof.

And I like proof, not fluff.

Shungite

There’s a lot of talk about the protection offered by the crystal Shungite. So I did some research.
I know that crystals have a physical benefit to our body. Dr. Bruce Lipton, in The Biology Belief, talks about how our DNA has antennas that are constantly adjusting themselves to their surroundings. I would rather have my DNA adjusting to crystals than unseen frequencies.
Shungite, only found in the Karelia region of Russia, may be the protection we are seeking. It has the best natural source of fullerenes (a carbon-based molecular formation) which are antioxidants that create a coat of armor around our cells and aids in EMF protection. Make sure you have Type 1 Noble or Elite Shungite (there are 3 types and I go into detail about them in my Advanced Crystal Healing class). Elite Shungite has the most carbon which is important for the fullerenes benefit when it is placed in water to drink.

  • WebMD has an article about Shungite and comes to the conclusion that Shungite is a safe complimentary medical therapy
  • This study showed that shielding the body with Shungite decreased the severity of damage produced by high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.
  • This study showed that Shungite has an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action against UVB-induced skin damage.
  • Fullerenes (naturally found in Shungite) were discovered in 1996 by scientists Robert Curl, Richard Smalley & Harold Kroto and they won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for their discovery.
  • Fullerenes, which are found in shungite, are a type of carbon nanostructure (CNS). CNSs are different physical forms of carbon. According to a 2017 review of studies, CNSs can destroy harmful pathogens. They reportedly work by damaging the cell walls of bacteria and viruses. Additionally, when CNSs interact with microbes, the microbes lose electrons and die. Woah!
  • This report describes how Shungite is an oxidatively modified carbon and is an efficient material for removing radionuclides (radioactive nuclides) from water. Another woah!!!

Black Tourmaline

Crystals that are iron- and aluminum-based can help to transmute unseen frequencies into beneficial frequencies. Think of this crystal as a Coat of Armor for your home and body! Iron and Aluminum absorb electromagnetic frequencies and transmute (or harmonize) the energy

Black Tourmaline is pyroelectric which means it transforms one type of energy to another type of energy and polarizes negatively and positively charged atoms. It is also piezoelectric which means it can produce an electrical charge. Without getting too geeky these explain why Black Tourmaline is beneficial for attracting the EMFs and grounding them, and beneficial for protecting our energy field and the energy in our home

Check out this study found that Tourmaline crystals can increase leukocyte functions, white blood cells that are responsible for protecting your body from infection. WOW!

UPDATE January 20, 2022: I have been working with an EMF radiation detector device since publishing this blog. The detector has shown that Shungite and Black Tourmaline drastically diminish the electrical field output of microwaves, computers, smart phones, TVs, and anything that is plugged in. WOW!

Earthing

Earthing at Loch Lochy (Scotland)

When you connect to the Earth with your bare feet it creates an electron exchange that is anti-inflammatory, calming and de-stressing. There’s quite a bit of science behind this and here’s one study that explains how it works and how it can protect us from degenerative diseases.

We know it works because when we walk on the beach or in the woods we feel calm. When it is too freezing to put your feet on the ground, put essential oils made from trees on the bottom of your feet (like Black Spruce, Blue Spruce, Cedarwood, Cypress or the Grounding blend) and/or hold or wear a calming crystal like Black Tourmaline, Shungite, Blue Lace Agate, or Amethyst.

Here’s what I do

1.  I place Shungite and Black Tourmaline around my home. It’s in the 4 corners of the main floor of my home to ground it. It’s on top of my WiFi router, in between me and my computer, and in front of my TV. I have a Shungite patch on my smart phone and computer, I wear as jewelry, and I drink Shungite water (don’t drink Black Tourmaline water).
2.  Grounding. Keeping myself grounded to Earth is important. VibesUp has some great products that are meant to help with grounding. Click here to check out the products (this is an affiliate link because I have done my due diligence for you in researching this supplier). The EMF/Electronic Toxins page has ALL of the things we should have, including EMF protection pads to go under our pet’s food and water bowls! Brilliant!
3.  Cell Phone. Do not wear it on your body. And when talking do not put it up to your ear, use the speaker option. Remove from your bedroom at night or turn off WiFi if you use it at an alarm. Place a Shungite or Black Tourmaline grounding patch on the back of your phone.
4. If you have a smart utility meter on your home, put Shungite and/or Black Tourmaline inside your home where the meter is connected. Remove all beds (ro pets and people) from that area and surround it with crystals.

5. I topically apply grounding essential oils to my body daily, including on the bottom of my feet and forehead before bedtime (you’ll sleep great)! If you put chips of Shungite in a roller bottle with grounding oils, that is DOUBLE the protection benefit!
6. And eat a really healthy organic whole foods diet that nourishes your body with life rather than dead processed food.
While we may not know the exact protection we are getting from being proactive, just knowing that we are doing something will help ease fears and feel better.

Essential Oils & Crystals for a Positive Mindset

Recently my essential oil group spent a month focusing on how to shift from a negative to a positive mindset. Our inner feelings and beliefs dominate our mindset. When we can identify the underlying feeling or belief, we can then start the shift from a negative to positive mindset.

These are some of our favorite essential oils and crystals to help us shift.

Shifting from overwhelm to motivated

We live in a world with a lot of noise and information overload. It can be so much that we feel smothered and weighed down which can create apathy and numbness. These are our favorites:

  • Magnify Your Purpose blend = Overwhelm can set in when you have lost your purpose. Smell this oil and let it get you back on track with your purpose.
  • Motivation blend = This was a team favorite and the name says it all! When you smell it or diffuse it, you will be amazed at what you get done.
  • Sacred Mountain blend = When you can calm and ground yourself, you can begin to re-energize and move out of the mindset of overwhelm.
  • Crystals I love for motivation are Celestite (helps calm when overwhelmed), Clear Quartz (amplifies your energy field simply by holding it) and Stellar Beam (Dog Tooth) Calcite (very high vibrational energy to get moving).

Shifting from worry & fear to strength & courage

Worry and fear are feelings of scarcity, lack, disempowerment, panic, and despair. All you are doing is traumatizing yourself about something in the future that has not and likely will not happen. Worry stores in the stomach as powerlessness and fear stores in the kidneys. These emotions will lower you in to a frequency where dis-ease can take root. So don’t go there! These are our favorites:

  • Valor blend = When we worry and are consumed with fear, we simply need to find our confidence and courage. Valor helps to shift your energy to get back on track.
  • Abundance blend = Abundance is an energy and mindset. It is about shifting to see all that you have in your life and that your glass is overflowing! When you see that, fear and worry melt away.
  • Present Time blend = When you are present, everything is perfect in that moment. Do not let your mindset get stuck in the past or worried and afraid of the future. This is a very calming blend that really helps to focus on being present.
  • Crystals I love for courage are Black Tourmaline (grounding and strength), Celestite (releases negative patterns of fear and worry) and Dumortierite (calming strength and courage).

Shifting from anger to forgiveness

Have you felt a lot of anger floating around in the air? Sometimes the anger that gets into our energy is actually not our own. But it still can still cause havoc in our body. Anger stores itself in our liver, and resentment in the spleen. When anger is not processed it can result in bitterness, intolerance, and settle into resentment … more toxic emotions for our poor body to deal with. These are our favorites:

  • Release blend = When you are ready to let go of toxic feelings and mindset. Topically apply over your liver and then deeply inhale it while saying “I release all negativity from body, mind and spirit”.
  • Forgiveness blend = As Mark Twain said, “”Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.” Forgiveness is beautiful once you find it. When you smell this blend it can bring you into a higher awareness and vibrational frequency to the point where you can let go and move on. Topically apply over your heart and then deeply inhale while saying “I am thankful for life’s experiences and the lessons they teach.”
  • Humility blend = Humility is the step after forgiveness so that we can learn and transform. It keeps you sweet and strong no matter what is happening around you.
  • Crystals I love for forgiveness are Blue Lace Agate (calming), Rose Quartz (forgiving) and Rutilated Quartz (let go of the past hurts).

Shifting from loneliness to self-love

Did you know that the remedy to loneliness is self-love? Lack of self-love can come from unresolved grief and when grief is not processed and released it can lead to depression. When you are comfortable hanging out with yourself, your thoughts, and engaging in self-care and personal development during isolation, you are less likely to feel lonely. These are our favorites:

  • Frankincense = Simply smelling this oil can get your energy moving. It is my favorite when missing a person, pet or lifestyle, to restore faith, to ground and uplift. It is also soothing for moments of unworthiness and loneliness.
  • White Angelica blend = You will want to slather all over yourself (your pets). I call it the Wrapped-In-A-Warm-Blanket Oil and the All-Is-Well oil. It is like being wrapped in love. It feels protective so that you do not feel the need to isolate. I love to use it with abused and shelter pets.
  • Hope blend = Hope is a good start with when it comes to deep emotional healing. Because other than love, we all need hope. When you combine the energy of Melissa for those who are highly sensitive with the deep grounding and empowerment of Juniper, Myrrh and Black Spruce, you find Hope! It is my go-to for deep emotions that need to be released. It will help you keep moving forward one day at a time.
  • Crystals I love for self-love are Citrine (happy vibe crystal), Lepidolite (contains lithium to pull out of grief and sadness) and Rose Quartz (self-love).

And always remember … Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.

Higher Self Early Warning System

Panic! At one point (or more) in our lives, we will experience a panic attack. Shortness of breath, gripping fear, overwhelming worry, and a physical signal that something isn’t right! Think back to the last time you had a panic attack. What thoughts were whirling through your mind? Were they thoughts of “don’t do this, don’t go there, turn around”? Did you stay the course and move forward or did you take a different path?

Panic is our body’s way of giving us an early warning to change direction. It may not need to be a huge directional change, but your higher self is sending you an urgent text message that what lies ahead is not in your best interest. Some people suffer from chronic panic attacks, sometimes occurring everyday; while others suffer only a few in their lifetime. If you suffer from frequent or chronic panic attacks, have you ever spent the time analyzing them to find a common theme? You might find that your higher self is trying to get a message through to you.

I remember having a significant panic attack in October 2003 as I was driving from Michigan to Virginia to finalize my move for a new job. This was not a move that I wanted to make, but a move that I had to make for employment. I was on the I-70 expressway in Maryland near Frederick and I could not breathe. My mind was racing, I broke out in hysterical tears, I was consumed with fear, and every cell in my body was telling me to turn around and go home. I had to pull over on the side of the road and it took about 30 minutes to compose myself. I did not want to move, I knew that it was the right path for me to take, but I felt compelled to accept this national level job given that I could not find work in Michigan in my chosen field.

Eleven years later, things have turned out fine but it was a difficult road for the first 3 years and the path has always had some underlying struggle. I did not listen to that inner voice giving me a physical signal to stop and so my path from that point on was not a smooth path.

If you ignore a panic attack, it does not necessarily mean that your life will fall apart. You can certainly make the path the best that it can be like I did, but it doesn’t mean that it’s the right path at that time. What it does mean is that you are taking a more difficult route, a route that is not the best for you at that time. In the Law of Attraction, our emotions and our body send us signals when we are out of alignment with our true path. The messages start as a little voice in our head, then signals to change course, and then a full on physical panic attack to finally get our attention. We ignore these signs because often we feel that the path we are on is the only path. There is always more than one path.

Lavender1What should you do if you’re in the middle of a panic attack? Place some Lavender or Peace & Calming essential oil in your palm and inhale, or put a drop or two of Grounding oil on the bottom of your feet. Hold a grounding crystal such as Black Tourmaline or a calming crystal like Blue Lace Agate. Lie down and listen to calming music. Then listen to what your body and inner voice are trying to tell you. Do not block the messages; instead, write down what comes to you.

My panic attack taught me that I could plow through the panic and make a good life, but it was difficult and I would choose differently in the future. My panic attack taught me that there are always forks in the road, every single day. My panic attack taught me that when we ignore these signals, we are only making life more difficult than it has to be. My panic attack taught me to trust my inner voice and my physical early warning system. Your inner voice is never wrong, so trust it!
