Authenticity and Intuition

These days, I hear the word authenticity being used a lot to identify whether a person, a business, or a situation is genuine, or just putting on a fake presence.  For me, it is about being who I really am at the core in my personal life and my business life. For those who know me (or those who are getting to know me), I’m an interesting bag of sharp and quick legal-mind, unabashedly unafraid public speaker and radio/TV interviewee, confident and wildly creative spiritual goddess, crystal junkie, angel converser, very outspoken animal advocate, lover of all animals big and small, published author who writes constantly (like this), Universal Law groupie, claircognizant who just knows stuff, rabid reader and student of all things spiritual and good, eater of green veggies for breakfast, not afraid to share advice in a truthful and gentle way, and I hope a good friend and family member. (exhale … man, that is an interesting bag of stuff of what folks have said to me over the years!)

Manifested Harmony is one way that I’m putting my authenticity out into the world (I also do this in my animal protection work … never hesitating to speak my mind to get people motivated). Here, I am creating a sacred space for people to join in online or in person to enjoy healing and reshape their thinking in alignment with Universal laws so that they can stop struggling and start living. A space for people to find a different way to help their companion animals who may have physical or behavioral issues. A space filled with butterflies, angels, kittens, puppies, tulips, daisies, fluffy white clouds in a blue sky, Blue Moon ice cream and organic cheese popcorn (ok, that’s a weakness, but still yummy).

In creating this space, I listen to my intuition. I do this before and during each healing session so that I can craft the session to what the person or animal best needs. I do this before and during each coaching session so that I’m not giving a cookie-cutter coaching session (I’ve seen way too much of that) but instead I really listen to the client and talk about what they really need to hear. I do this in the classes that I create and teach.

The more I follow my intuition, the more people like you find their way to this space. And the more I hear things like “Thank you for never failing to inspire me, Allie! I follow your blog and Facebook posts and was guided to take the CCH class from Hibiscus Moon because of you. Your other areas of interest fascinate me as well and I’m sure I’ll be exploring them as I follow my spiritual path.” (Gosh, that was just the nicest thing that someone said to me this week.)

Confession: There have been times where I have not fully listened to my intuition. In growing this sacred space, I hear from all different types of business leaders. Most of the methods do not resonate with me (they are too corporate and Manifested Harmony is definitely not corporate). I have tried a few methods and they have not worked because this is not a business … it’s a sacred space!! What that says to me is that I need to trust my intuition 100% of the time, be authentically me, and I will reach the people who resonate with that. It’s the ultimate in the Law of Attraction … like attracts like.

So today I declare …. NO MORE LISTENING TO CORPORATE GURU’S OR DOING WHAT WORKS FOR OTHER PEOPLE (as I shout at the top of my lungs into the breezy air today). I have a handful of spiritual business friends who have given me great advice and I will continue to listen. But in the end I will trust me and my birth child called Manifested Harmony to grow at her own pace and to welcome the friends who will cherish and benefit from the sacred space created.

If this all resonates with you, check out our upcoming classes, contacting me for healing session, or let’s hop on Skype for some one-on-one coaching. I’m here to help you find your authenticity and intuition!

Authentically yours, Allie

Saving lives: Healing energy is not just for people!

Rexy

If you have a family pet or have ever worked with animals, you know that animals have feelings and can suffer physical and emotional pain just like us. Animals are also sensitive to the energies in our world. As such, they can suffer from electromagnetic stress (from electricity, computers, TVs, etc.) bombarding their energy field, as well as human emotions that may be overbearing. For pets, they often cannot escape these energies and can develop physical and emotional ailments as a result. And for homeless and shelter pets, they may suffer emotional stress from past physical or emotional trauma. If they find a loving home, the transition may be difficult or traumatic because they are so sensitive to energies (particularly in a new home). Cats, in particular, do not do well with change. Energy healing can help in these situations.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of helping a shelter kitty move to his new home. Rexy (who is now about 6-7 years old), spent 3-1/2 years being fed as an outdoor stray in a trailer part. When his feeder went to jail and then was being evicted from his trailer, some kind ladies brought him to King Street Cats (where I have volunteered since 2004) in January 2010. This could have been Rexy’s first indoor home. At first he was terrified and confused. He would scratch the glass windows as if he wanted to go outside. Eventually he informed several communicators that he was home and he did not want to leave. To him, living at a free-roaming cat orphanage was as best as it would get. And for many of the volunteers, we wondered whether he would ever be adopted because he would actively shun the attention of potential adopters.

Rexy and Jasmine (his new sister) while at King Street Cats

Fast forward 2-1/2 years where Rexy went to his new home yesterday. He has a mom, a dad and two feline siblings, Patches and Jasmine, who also came from King Street Cats (they were friends at the orphanage). His new family could not stop thinking about him and since he was friends with Patches and Jasmine, it seemed like the perfect home for all. Because Rexy had never been outside of our cat orphanage (the veterinarian visited on-site to give his annual vaccinations), we started preparing so that the energy placing him into a carrier and during the move would be calm and gentle.

The start of Rexy’s big adventure

It started with his new mom visiting him at the past few weekends to tell him he was coming home. We then made special arrangements on how to put him a carrier which was miraculously done without trauma or incident. It was like Rexy knew he was going home (even though he had never had a home). He was then handed over to me where I put him in my car, played soothing music (thank you Barry Manilow), placed crystals on his carrier (Smokey Quartz and Black Tourmaline), offered him Reiki, and sat with him for a short wait while his family arrived.

Rexy with his healing crystals

His family then took him home and I followed. My purpose was to offer energy healing to Rexy to help him adjust to being in, quite possibly, his first home. I was also there to help Patches and Jasmine. Rexy was placed in his own room (that had a glass screen door) and all three kitties initially hid. After an hour, I felt that the energy had been offered and accepted by all three cats. It was then time to let the energy do its work and let the cats adjust.

Patches and Jasmine welcoming Rexy

Within an hour, Patches was out exploring and checking out the room where Rexy was placed. Then Jasmine was exploring, too. And within 24 hours, all were at the glass window welcoming their old friend. When ready, Rexy has a beautiful crystal charm for his collar from AuraDog!

The introduction of a new pet to a home is a critical stage to be sure the pet feels secure, happy and loved in the home (and for existing pets, too). Cats are typically not good with change. And in this situation with Rexy encountering many firsts in his life (carpet, an indoor home, loving parents), I know that energy healing helped Rexy and his feline siblings feel good about the change.

Energy healing for pets is so important, and is often not considered, misunderstood or dismissed as unimportant. For those pets in shelters who may be suffering the aftermath of physical or emotional abuse/trauma, it can mean the difference between life (adoption) and death (because the pet is not showing well to be adopted). Like Rexy, energy healing can help with the transition to a new home; like Patches and Jasmine energy healing can help with the arrival of a new family member (pet, baby or spouse). For pets who are encountering physical or emotional/behavioral issues, energy healing (alongside veterinary care) can help the pet resolve the issue and stay at home rather than be surrendered to a shelter or simply tossed outside to fend for itself. For pets who have undergone surgery or a physical injury, energy healing can help speed the healing process (and can be beneficial for veterinary staff to learn).

Want to learn more about energy healing? Check out Manifested Harmony classes on energy therapy. My mission is to spread the message that energy healing is saving lives of pets. With over 10,000 pets per day being euthanized in American animal shelters, energy healing is a simply way to help. If you have a story to share about how energy healing helped an animal, please share!

All my best,

Healing Horses

Coasta

Yesterday, I had the privilege of offering energy healing therapy to five horses with the West Wind Farm in Aldie,Virginia. Although I grew up in a small rural Michigan town surrounded by animals, I have not had experiences with horses. To help me when I teach Integrated Energy Therapy® for Pets (which has a horse component), I felt the draw to have hands-on energy sessions with horses so that they could teach me how they respond to and absorb the energy. And in the process, the horses would receive healing energy. In the energy world, horses are pure spirit in physical form, and are magnificent (not boastful) about their physical and energy size. A horse’s purpose is to help people get in touch with their spirit. This is why people often say that horses are “spirited.” Horses also have a very large heart center.

I was a little anxious about the sessions because I have not had many close-up experiences with horses. They are so large and magnificent. I am unfamiliar with their behavior and I did not want to react in a way to make them unsure or nervous. What was completely unexpected was that the horses instantly made me feel comfortable. Even with their largeness, they were gentle giants. What surprised me even more was how communicative the horses were, especially in intuitive messages that they shared with me.

I first worked with Coasta who was so patient and gentle throughout the session. He was my “test horse” where I was learning the twitches, movements and whether he was comfortable. I sensed that Coasta was putting pressure on himself to do more work as a horse … to be a better horse. When I was energizing that particular area, he started pawing at the ground with his front hoof. One of the riders said that he was indicating that he wanted to go out riding (e.g., to be a horse). And as I was working in the kidney area, he swatted me with his tail and I jumped about 4 feet. He had a smirk in his eye as if to say “gotcha”!

Martini

I then worked on Martini, who is 18-years-old. He was also very gentle and curious about the energy. When I was working on an area where threat is stored, Martini sent me a message that he felt nervous of some little rodents (squirrels or opossum) that would run around very fast and he could not keep visual track of them and it made him nervous. I worked to release that threat and to let him know that he does not need to fear them because they likely are more afraid of him. When I did that, he visibly relaxed, almost as if he was exhaling. Martini also had blockages in an area where “shoulds” are stored. His owner indicated that he was in a show a few days earlier and one day did not show well. Martini was sending the message that he knew he should have done better. When that energy was clearing for him, he started to lick his lips (a sign of submission to the energy) and looked like he was actually talking (releasing something that he wanted to say).

Paul

Tall Paul was my next teacher. Paul is the largest horse at the stable. For horse people, he’s 17.2 (17 hands tall). I had to stand on my tippy toes to reach his neck and had to ask him to lower his head so that I could work on that area. Paul is 9-years-old and full of energy. His owner was unsure whether he would stand still for the 30 minute treatment. While he was a little fidgety at the beginning, to all of our amazement he settled down and accepted the energy. When I felt Paul’s heart energy, it almost knocked me off balance. It was so huge and loving, it was very emotional to feel. Paul sent me messages about how he loves hanging around with his horse friends and his owner shared that Paul and Martini are best friends. Also during the session, Paul sent me a message that he was feeling claustrophobic. I was confused by the message because we were inside this huge arena. I shared the message with his owner and she indicated that Paul is not housed in an indoor stall because he gets upset being confined, so he is housed outdoors where he feels more freedom. I was incredible that Paul shared that feedback with me. Near the end of the session, I moved to his right side and Paul physically moved away from me. I approach him slowly, but he moved away even more. His owner shared that he has an old stifle injury (to his leg as a result of when he was a racing horse). Not wanting to push the energy on him, I stood back about 3 feet and asked him if he wanted the energy from a distance. Paul seemed much more comfortable. Afterwards, Paul went out for exercise and the rider informed me that Paul was more agile, almost playful, aside from the stifle injury.

Eloise

Lastly, I worked with Eloise, an 8-year-old mare who was purchased at an auction 6 months earlier. Her prior life history is unknown. Eloise was very gentle though stoic through the treatment. I sensed that she was a little unsure about it, but was putting on a brave face. When I reached her heart center, I felt an immediate sensation that she had closed off her heart because of something that happened in the past. I felt that she was grieving over the loss of a previous owner (which is how she may have ended up at an auction). She was holding in her grief and I felt like she needed to have a good cry. One of the observers commented that he saw her bow her head a little and it appeared that her eyes welled up with tears. I spent a lot of time on the heart area to give her the encouragement to release her grief and to open her heart to her new wonderful owner. I advised the owner that Eloise simply needs to have a good cry and to be on the look out this week for behavior where Eloise is letting her feelings out. I will be curious to know how Eloise does this week because she has been on my mind and in my heart since the session.

Lily

As I was preparing to leave, I noticed a horse named Lily in her stall who was craning her neck to get my attention. I walked over to Lily, patted her on the forehead and told her that I would give her energy on my next visit. Lily immediately shook my hands off of her head, walked backwards into her stall and turned her head away from me. I could sense that she was upset that she was not chosen to participate in the healing. I verbalized to Lily that I was sorry, but then I asked her if she wanted a brief treatment. Lily knew exactly what I was saying because she walked back up to the front and laid her head in my hands. It was so peaceful for both of us.

It is really difficult to put into words the amazing energy I received from these horses. Not only was I able to give them some healing, but they were amazing healing teachers for me. I wish I would have taken notes because this only describes a small portion of how the horses reacted. I plan to go back and take some of my students since us city-dwellers do not have opportunities like this to interact with horses.

If you have had experiences with offering healing energy to horses, please share your story. With all of the neglect occurring across the country with horses being abandoned, and with the contentious issues of horse slaughter, horses need healing energy now more than ever. So if you are attuned as an energy healer and have not worked with horses yet, I highly encourage you to locate horses in your area and offer your services. You will walk away amazed.

Don’t forget to heal

Reiki on my cat, Oscar

I spend most days working on issues that involve animals being in harms way, animals that have been abused, and finding better ways to protect them. I recently launched the National Center for Prosecution of Animal Abuse through the National District Attorneys Association and as Director of NCPAA I will be creating training programs for prosecutors on how to handle animal abuse cases. But as I work day-to-day on training and educating others on how to handle the aftermath of abuse, and while there are numerous prevention programs across the U.S., I also work on how to help the animals heal from their experiences.

Over the past month, I obtained my master-teaching certifications in Usui Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy, two energy healing methods. Some of you may have heard of energy healing and how it can help people achieve immediate relaxation, and overtime help to provide support you through the healing process. But what many people may not know is that Reiki and IET work wonders for animals. Through the relaxation of healing energy, it  allows for the greatest healing in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies for people and pets. For pets, energy healing can help with behavioral issues, physical ailments or disease, and can help frightened and traumatized animals recover after trauma and abuse.

When I read stories of how animals have been rescued from an abusive or neglectful environment, whether it was a dog, cat or cow, I am always relieved; but then my next thought goes to whether the animal is receiving any healing. When we hear of people who have been victimized, those people often undergo therapy and counseling. And while many people may think that an animal can simply “shake off” the trauma of abuse or neglect, we cannot stop with the rescue and need to start thinking about providing healing to animals after they are in a safe place.

To help bring more healing to pets (and people!), I have created a new business called Manifested Harmony. The beauty about energy healing is that it can be done remotely, as well as in-person. Since energy knows no space or time boundaries, I can be in my home in Alexandria, Virginia and send energy healing to an animal in India. For years, I have been providing healing energy to homeless cats at a cat orphanage where I volunteer and I have seen amazing results. With my own cats, I have also seen them recover from illness much quicker. Most recently, my cat, Oscar, was unexpectedly diagnosed with diabetes. I know that energy healing along with insulin injections have quickly helped him to get on the path to wellness.

So if you have a pet, or known of an animal, who needs healing, consider energy healing. I know that you share my vision to help all pets live safe, healthy and happy lives. And now, incorporating energy healing in to my work feels right. If you have engaged the services of an energy healing practitioner, please share your story!
