Conversations are Changing

There has been a lot of conversation in recent years about the energy shift and how this process of moving into the Age of Aquarius is helping us to evolve as a society. The shift is slow and has likely been happening since the late 1980’s. Although it feels in past few years that it has picked up speed. Many people panicked when December 21, 2012 (the end of the Mayan calendar) approached; yet the feared Armageddon did not happen.

So how do we know that this shift is really happening? I know without a doubt that it is happening simply by watching present conversations that were not happening in the past. For example:

  • In 2005, the movie “The Secret” discussed the ancient Law of Attraction and became a popular movie thus making this little-known Law known to most people and spun off countless books, training programs and even Law of Attraction coaches (like me!).
  • In July 2013, Dr. Oz featured crystal sonic therapy on his daily show and discussed the numerous benefits of sound healing through crystal singing bowls which was experienced by Dr. Oz and several audience participants.
  • On April 14, 2014, national news outlets covered the Blood Moon, full moon lunar eclipse because people were fascinated by the appearance and the spiritual meaning of the event.
  • On April 16, 2014, Valerie Harper announced that she was cancer-free. She shared that she does not let other people’s opinions (such as a doctor telling her that she has “terminal” cancer) impact how she lives her life. Although she later admitted that she is not fully cancer-free, her cancer stopped growing and she is living her life as if she is cancer-free. She credits her positive outlook on life. That concept is one of the teachings in the Law of Attraction.
  • As a society we are much more aware of how we treat animals, the plight of food/farm animals, and including pets during disaster plans and evacuations. When I think back 10, 15 and 20 years ago, issues about the welfare of animals was not a common occurrence on national news and not on the consciousness of mainstream America. Now it is a daily occurrence. This is part of the shift into oneness and compassion for all living beings.
  • Just last week, ABC ‘s Nightline featured a story about a goat who was despondent when he was rescued from a hoarding situation and his donkey friend was sent to a different rescue. Isn’t that amazing that national news is now featuring prime time stories about the feelings of animals? Check out the story!
  • When I share that I am an energy healer, most people respond by saying “like Reiki?” Moreover, Reiki is now mainstream in many hospitals, particularly in oncology departments and is even helping wounded warriors.

Elestial soul pathThe energy shift is causing more people to grow curious about acupuncture, angels, astrology, crystals, near death experiences, past lives, psychics, spirit guides, tarot, and so on. People are hungry for information about things that are non-physical and cannot be seen. If you search on Facebook, you can find hundreds of pages that are spiritual/healing in nature with extensive followers.

Another result of the energy shift is that more people are finding passion in these subjects and even starting businesses that are spiritual or healing. When people embrace the spiritual/healing side of their nature, take action, and share what they know, they shine a light out to the Universe that benefits all. The more people that shine their light, the more the energy shift will continue to unfold in a positive way.  I believe this is why the energy shift has not been the cataclysmic event that many people predicted. When more people are shining their spiritual light, it shifts the energy in a more positive way. This particular issue was discussed in Gregg Braden’s book called Fractal Time (which is really worth reading)!

I encourage you to take notice of how conversations on the national scene and even in your own life are shifting. It is really a beautiful thing to watch when you take a moment to notice and see how far we have come.

It’s about consistency!

I am often asked how often a person or a pet should receive energy healing. The answer I give is dependent upon whether there is an immediate or chronic issue at hand, or whether the goal is to maintain balance and wellbeing. But my answer is usually the same …. Consistency.

Energy healing works with the body’s energy field (which is also called the subtle energy field). Some people do not feel much, other than relaxation, after their first session. I notice changes and energy shifts when someone is consistent with their energy sessions. And this consistency can either be in having someone else provide the energy healing, or taking a class to learn how to provide your own healing.

Energy healing is like exercising. The first time, you may feel great. But if you don’t do it again, or if you put too much time in between sessions, you will not notice much change. Like exercising, even short sessions with frequency will provide the best results.

Lucy crystal classFor someone who is otherwise healthy and wants to maintain balance and wellbeing, I recommend once a month session with a healer (and/or weekly self-healing). If someone is dealing with an imminent or chronic issue (either physical or emotional), I recommend weekly sessions for the 4-6 weeks (until an obvious shift is noticed) and then moving to twice monthly then monthly sessions (and/or daily self-healing).

For pets, I recommend short (15-20 minute) sessions with frequency according to the same schedule as above.

I have tested this schedule with numerous human and pet clients. Those who are consistent are achieving the results that they want (thus getting their money’s worth).

  1. Locate an energy healer and schedule consistent sessions. Review your budget of how you spend your money (food, housing, etc.) and recognize the importance of budgeting for your health and wellbeing. If you’re in the Northern Virginia/DC area, I offer healing sessions and can help you set up a consistent schedule of wellbeing.
  2. Take an energy healing class so that you can learn how to provide self-healing. Offering self-healing not only hones your skills, but will give you the consistency you need for those positive energy shifts. I offer these classes that benefit people and pets: Usui Reiki, Crystal Healing, and Integrated Energy Therapy.
  3. Wear crystals everyday! I always wear crystals with each providing different energies. Sometimes I need grounding, other times I want to sooth inflammation. You can find crystal bracelets and other jewelry at metaphysical stores or at Healingcrystals.com.
  4. Schedule quiet time (meditation) into your day. When you can quiet your mind, you will relax which will allow your body to start balancing.

Occasional or inconsistent sessions are certainly better than nothing. But you may not see the results that you want; results that you desire that brought you to energy healing in the first place. And while one session will get the process started, consistency will allow the energy to build upon itself and you will then have noticeable energy shifts. For me, daily energy healing is what helps me to deal with stress, our changing planetary energies, and to maintain balance and wellbeing.

Stop Sleepwalking and Wake Up

I Can do itWe are at the beginning of a shift into new energy. It’s been in the works for quite some time. And now we’re there. Did you know that? Or have you been sleepwalking through your life?

All year, I have been talking and writing about the new energy and energy shift, how it’s causing some people to react oddly (or badly) and discussing various ways to handle it. I’ve been testing various methods and techniques while also searching for answers. This past weekend, I was overjoyed to attend the Hay House I Can Do It Conference for a 2nd year. Gregg Braden gave me answers like he always does.

He started the presentation with a brilliant quote from E.O. Wilson: “We are drowning in information, while starving for wisdom.” Wow, that is so true, right?

The world that we grew up with is gone. Sorry to be blunt, but we might as well get ourselves adjusted and get back to living. Too many people are holding off on doing things because they are waiting for things to “settle down.” Today’s world and energy is now your new normal. So how are you feeling with this new energy? I’ve definitely felt more sensitive to other people’s behavior and have not had good sleep. Crystals, energy healing, and intentions have definitely helped me. Other people are angry, confused, anxious, depressed, jittery, and coming unglued. So this uneasiness is our new normal? Sheesh, that’s pretty sad. But we don’t have to feel this way once we know what to do.

Gregg Braden gave us a very simple answer on how to live in the new energy.

Resilience.

Not the sort of resilience that we see in someone have after they bounce back from a difficult situation. Resilience now relates to how we think and live everyday so that we thrive during changing conditions. Resilience is the key to wellbeing during the new energy. Resilience is what we must have every day.

You cannot be resilient and thrive if you’re sleepwalking through all of this, numbing yourself to change with your IPod blaring in your ears, your eyes on your smartphone and not on your surroundings, communicating only through technology, and living a disconnected life. You are here on this planet at this time of change. We all need to connect to this new energy.

In this new energy, we are living with extremes (financial, climate, behavioral) that show us what is not working, and change is happening fast because we can no longer deny that our entire globe is connected (thank you technology). What happens in Syria directly impacts everyone.

We have all of the solutions to current day problems right now. The issue is that we have not adapted our thinking to access those solutions. Too many people are working with old energy in the new energy. It doesn’t fit and it doesn’t work. But first, we need to mourn the loss of the old world, let it go, and then you can adapt. Adapting is resiliency. And what I personally love about the new energy is that science is FINALLY catching up to spirituality. What indigenous cultures knew 4000 years ago, we are finally acknowledging. So for the first time in a long time, I’m excited about the new energy because what I know about science and spirituality is meshing together.

Gregg explained that we are now in the New Age of Meeting Ourselves Again. Isn’t that beautiful? The new energy is all about connectedness, oneness, mutual aid and cooperation. The energy no longer supports competition and aggression. So how do we get ourselves to this New Age sooner rather than later (so that we can sleep and feel better)? The answer is again simple ….

Love and compassion.

Gregg told us about 2 women, each at least 120 years old. One lives in Tibet and the other in Palestine. Both areas have seen a lot of devastation. So how do these women stay healthy and vibrant at 120 years of age with all of the strife? Both went through life living from their heart and not their head. They lived and experienced the world with love and compassion.

I’ve asked this before and feel like I’m banging the same drum, but I have to ask. Which would you rather experience? Fear or love? Almost everyone, and sometimes myself included, spend too much time fearing. If I quit my job, will work that I’m passionate about pay my bills? If I leave this relationship, will I grow old alone? This fear, along with other negative emotions like hatred, anger, resentment all lead to physical issues. Our bodies can heal themselves if we let it. But we hang on to unresolved hurts that are now proven to be the root cause of many ailments, including the #1 killer of Americans … heart disease. Where do we store unresolved hurt? In our heart. Make sense?

When we can start to move from our mind to our heart and live our lives that way, we will tip the scales towards compassion. I truly believe that if everyone will stop sleepwalking through walk and awaken to what our world wants us to do, we will dramatically cut diseases that strike us down in the prime of life, we will see an end to aggression, wars, and people who shoot up malls and schools. I don’t know anyone who wants to continue our current reality. So you have a choice to make. Live from your head (and continue as is) or live from your heart (and help us shift the planet to compassion).

Five easy steps to juicy joy

Raise your hand if you are outrageously happy, jump out of bed each morning and shout “Hello World!”, perform work that you love, have healthy relationships, abundant health, feel good about money, and live your life from love and not fear? (Is that crickets I hear?). So do you want that joyful life, or do you want to stay as you are? (Cue the standing ovation!)

Do these 5 über easy steps everyday and you will easily shift to a juicy joyful path.

1.  Large order of gratitude with orange juice, please.

If you start each day with a glass of orange juice (which infuses your energy field with the sacral chakra color of orange to give you energy, vitality and creativity), then be sure to add a large side order of gratitude. Start each day writing down or mentally reciting 5-10 things that you are grateful for and it will absolutely change your vibration to one that is eager, expectant, and positive. Even better, create a Gratitude Journal so that months and years later you can look back and see your progress! When you go through your day, an attitude of gratitude will give you an eager/expectant/positive vibration that will begin to draw in things to make you feel even more eager/expectant/positive. That vibration will then overshadow what you typically look for (and receive) that are annoying throughout the day (i.e., gridlock traffic, energy vampires at work, unexpected deadlines, no money in the bank account until payday, etc.). Start your day off on the right foot … gratitude + juicy oranges to supercharge a juicy day!

2.  End your relationship with fear.

Humans operate from two primary and primal emotions: fear and love. Which controls you throughout the day? For most people, it is fear. We don’t do this intentionally. Our subconscious controls more of our thoughts, beliefs, and actions than we give it credit for. It also soaks up our surroundings like a sponge. When we look around us, things are frankly going bonkers these days. We’re in a massive energy shift, solar flares abound that can cause unexpected outbursts of anger, there’s endless violence, and we’re all feeling a bit off kilter. If you watch the news (CNN = Constantly Negative News), all you hear about are wars, mass shootings, abductions, financial worries, political collapses. Is nothing good anymore? No wonder most people operate from a place of fear. Here’s the trick to living a juicy joyful life … you need to start operating from a place of love and kick fear in patootie. Easier said than done? Not really. It’s time for you to breakup with fear.

Decide3.  Juice up your heart chakra.

Okay, so you’re concerned about how dial down the fear and dial up the love? So let me whisper this really deep secret on how to juice up your heart chakra and shine the love. You simply have to decide to do this. Our conscious mind is very powerful (despite that pesky micro-managing subconscious) and science is proving everyday that our intentions shape our world. So everyday, you must must must set an intention that you will go forth into the world with love. When you do this you will start to notice only those things that resonate with love, you will start to see more people/things/situation that resonate with love, you will respond to stressors with love, and that you will ooze love even to those people who you judgmentally believe don’t deserve it.

So turn off the news, go onto your social media pages and look for those heartwarming stories of people helping people, people helping animals, animals helping animals, and those pay-it-forward stories. What you focus on is what will present itself to you. You need to choose what you focus on, and only focus on good.

If you love crystals, grab those pink and green crystals and pile them onto your heart chakra in the middle of your chest. Even just 10 minutes a day lying with these crystals will open your heart chakra.

Recite affirmations that ooze love. Try these on for size:

  • I love and approve of myself just the way that I am.
  • I only see the good and love in everything.
  • I am surrounded by love and generosity everyday.

i only see the good and loveYou may feel uncomfortable at first, but just do it! Dial up the healing on your heart chakra and you will notice more things to love than fear in no time.

4.  One daily act of kindness to self, por favor.

When you do something kind for another, you feel good about it right? But when is the last time that you were kind to yourself? Everyday, without fail, you must be kind to yourself. So many people berate themselves (verbally or through their inner voice) and it wears down your energy and makes you vulnerable to negativity. Just image yourself as a three-year-child. Would you berate him/her the way that you berate yourself? Of course, not. There are so many ways simple ways for you to be kind to yourself everyday:

  • Start your day with that luxurious shower gel that you think you can’t afford (go for it, you’re worth it!) or pull out the cushy soft bath towels. Pamper yourself!
  • Give yourself a breakfast treat (maybe a special coffee, tea or green smoothie).
  • If you can have personal items in your workspace, have something that makes you smile. A photo of your loved ones, pets, a favorite crystal, a piece of art, fresh flowers, or a beautiful computer screen saver. I like to keep one of my aromatherapy crystal elixir sprays (like Air Smudge) in my desk and I spritz it whenever I need a boost.
  • Take 10 minutes everyday and go outside. Even if you work in a concrete jungle, go outside and breathe the air (hopefully not car fumes), let the sun shine on your face, and instantly distress.
  • At the end of the day, spend 10 minutes or more doing something just for YOU! Maybe this is quiet meditation, going for a walk, dancing like Jennifer Beals in Flashdance to some uplifting music, reading a book.

Air SmudgeEven if you have a demanding family or endless to-do list, it’s okay for you to take a few minutes every day to take care of yourself. Remember to live your life, not the life of other’s demands. If you don’t take care of yourself, who will?

5.  Ooze juiciness to others

And once you’ve consistently performed 1-4 every day faithfully (just like brushing your teeth), you will start to ooze your juicy joy to others naturally. And the one thing that we know about energy (and we are energy bodies) is that what we send out energetically goes to other people and comes back to us. So what do you want coming back to you? Juicy joy or vicious vampires? You will naturally resonate a joyful vibe that people will flock to you to bask in your joy. And when those around you are joyful, doesn’t that make for a better world?

So now I need you to pinky promise that you will do this, faithfully and joyfully, ever day; especially in these challenging energetic times. I promise that you will notice a shift and that all aspects of your life will begin to flow easier. So are you with me?

New energies … are we all going mad?

I am writing this blog (Monday evening) as the events of today’s mass shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. continues to unfold. Thirteen people dead and a good friend of mine is still on lock down at the facility. What I had planned to write about today is how the new energies are causing significant shifts. This is causing some people to feel anxious, frazzled, sleepless and exhausted; and it’s causing some to behave oddly and downright badly (like today). So I videotaped an oracle card reading on how we can handle the new energies. I’m also listing some other resources to help.

Energetic Shift: Guidance in the New Age
